The 200 hr service on my lx2610hdc only calls for changing the engine oil filter and transmission oil filter and not the hydraulic filter. Just curious why not changing all of them like at the 50 hr service.

The main reason at 50 hours for the "filters" is to replace those that have caught all the tiny shavings and whatnot left behind in the cutting process of all the parts.

Personally - I would CHANGE ALL the filters at the same point and time - hellva lot easier to keep up with in the log book. And while you are at it - change the oil in the engine too. For that 20 bucks or more, nice insurance to live by.

Thanks, that's pretty much what I was thinking about the filters and yes I was planning on the engine oil too. I was reading the manual this morning before I head to the dealer and it just seemed odd not to call for changing all three of the filters.

The hydraulic filter is a course screen suction filter. Use to be a real screen that people forgot about cleaning on older models. Hard to change without losing a lot of fluid. The HST is fine, polishing filter. Usually can change without much fluid loss. All gets changed at 400hrs intervals.
I do the engines oil and filter every year and rarely reach 200hrs between changes. Often half that.

Many of the suction filters have a magnet too, so metallic debris is very minimal after the first change. You are more likely to get grass dirt ingress from checking fluid/topoff. The major factor for the hydro fluid interval is moisture content. If you want to go above and beyond, I crack open all the sump drains(case, mid pto, brake housing…) for a second, and let any moisture laden fluid drain out at the non filter change interval. Costs minimal fluid, and will quickly show any pooling water since it migrates to the low spots. Two things to note, this works best after the machine has set for a long time, and the smaller drain plugs strip easily.

At my 200 hour service on my LX2610 I changed all the filters at 200 hours except cabin(removed and blew out). My opinion is filters and fluids are cheap insurance and I will change them yearly or more as needed.
