Do any of you know (im sure some of you do) how the 2 range hydro of the BX compares to the 3 range hydro of the B ? Are the 2 higher ranges of the B tractor the same as the the ranges on the BX, and the lowest range is lower ?? Or are they different all together .... ? ....

As I understand you have the high, and the low on the BX,, you just dont have the middle that I have never found I really needed, but a lot depends on what you are doing,, I run high for mowing that up and down hills,, and low for pulling wood and things like that,, I maybe wrong but there ya go,, and by the by dont think of the BX as a " lawn mower" cause it is so much more of a beast if you use it right
I have the B2601 never had a BX to compare below is how I run with attachments we have.

No. Not simply the lack of L.
Gears are optimized for 2 or 3 ranges.
Final drive ratios, tire sizes, etc., are all different.

I while back I needed to know the top speed of a BX2200 vs B3030. Maybe this will give you an idea how the upper ranges compare.
BX2200 High Range:____8.1 MPH (Turf)
B3030 High Range:____13.8 MPH (R4 tires)

Going from memory on this one, I would say the L is about the same, the BX H is close to the B M (just a little faster), and the B H is much quicker but a big hill will slow it down if doing much. I found it really isn’t much of a difference unless you were to travel on the road to often.
You'll probably find that the larger tires and ground clearance of the B series is a bigger advantage than 3 ranges vs. 2. I think that extra ranges are more of an advantage on a gear drive tractor, than on a hydro.
Eh, I wouldn't necessarily say that. I do greatly prefer the three range on my B2650 compared to the two range on my BX23. But definitely the ground clearance and bigger wheels are more important to me.
On dad's BX I would use high for moving around, say from the front yard to the back. Once I needed do anything I would put it in low and work. On my B2650 I do most everything in Med. Med is fast enough to get around with unless I'm headed down the road, and still strong enough to do most loader and box work without bogging down. I only use Low if I'm having to do something near max capacity. I also use High to sling the mud off the tires before I put her back in the mancave.
Same here on the BX; high for moving around, low to do anything. I used to mow in low as well. I also found if I had the backhoe and FEL on, I'd need low to go up a lot of hills.
With my B2650, I mow in mid. I find mid fast enough for most travel. Only really use high on the driveway or if I was to go on the road. I use low for almost all loader work though. I find mid grunts a bit for loader work, and I don't want to strain it. Sometimes if I'm traveling with a load in the bucket though, I'll use low for scooping or finer movement where I'm dumping, and switch to mid for travel between the two locations.

On my B2650 I use MED range about 80% of the time. HIGH about 15% and LOW about 5%
On the B2650 for me I can do almost all the digging I need in MED range. It was very well thought out by Kubota. On my last blue tractor low went a little too high and med was a little too low. I am sure that each model would be slightly different depending on the Hp/Weight/Contact and usage.

Ditto that. On the B series, I use Med for dirt work, and High for any transport including with full buckets of stuff (I'm on level ground) and when scooping mulch. I rarely need to use Low. Only when in deep mud or pushing into a pile of #3's to get a full bucket of them.
I had a BX23 for many years when I had a landscaping business. The low was just to slow and the high didn't have the juice when digging or scooping into piles of material other than mulch. So, I did lots of shifting between gear ranges.
Used High on BX23 for all mowing with no issue at all (without BH and loader mounted).
Guess I am like everybody else.
On my BX I am always in low if I am doing anything other than moving the tractor between two points.
On my B2910, I am mostly in M, with L being used when I need a little more power. H is rarely used, unless moving between two points that are pretty far apart...
