Looking at purchasing my 1st tractor I have no experience at all. Think I found a good deal: 2006 L4400 DT-F with 22 hours on it. Been stored in an A/C garage. Has front end loader and a 6ft finishing mower.
$18K
Good deal? Anything I need to be concerned with? Tractor runs great.
Thanks f

Welcome to OTT F. You came to the right place for tractor information. :)

With only 22 hours, why did they buy it if they weren't going to use it?

If it has been parked all that time, check all lines for dry rot and cracking.

At first glance, I would get a deposit on it before someone else does!

The bucket doesn't even look worn. I'd buy it before someone else does. Like NOW !!!

I'm with Mickeyd, how do you spend the money for a tractor....have it 12 years and put 22 hours on it?

Talk about a waste of funds.

The guy may have forgotten he owns it. Just ask to borrow it and keep using it until someone ask for it back! No need to spend the money.:D:D:D

His wife said that he always wanted a tractor so he bought one. He would start it up and drive it out and put it back in the garage. He would rather use his lawn tractor to cut grass.
Almost too good to be true but all his other vehicles are spotless, run great and well maintained.
Now I just hope I don't tear it up Lol.
We just bought 11.5 acres and will be building a new home. The tractor should come in handy.
I need to get a rotary cutter for it.
Thanks for the responses.

You got a nice machine. I'd change out the fluids just to get a base point of maintenance.

I had a neighbor like the previous owner. In 1972 he bought a new Ford Rancharo. He went to trade it in the 1976 and the owner of the dealership argued with him about the age of the vehicle. He drove it around and continue arguing. It had 12,000 miles on it.
