I recently inherited a B2150 and have stayed on top of its maintenance, but I’ve hit a snag with the hydraulics. While moving hay, a banjo bolt failed, stripping the threads and blowing out the filter.
Since it's busy season, I performed a few repairs: I retapped the bolt to 3/4-16, swapped the rigid lines for flexible hydraulic hoses, and installed a universal filter from TSC. After refilling the system with fresh fluid and pre-filling the filter, I cycled the loader multiple times; the bucket lift and curl work perfectly with no signs of air.
The issue started when I tried to lift my rear blade to park the tractor—the top of the new filter housing blew clean off. Does anyone have insight into why the system is over-pressurizing at the filter specifically when the rear lift is engaged?
