1978 L285 Cylinder head

I am replacing cyl head. Old head was what parts called type 1 (6 bolts) . Ordered a replacement 15321-03040, but it is type 2. Looking for the cover plate for the type 2 head.

I'm really hoping something else!
Because the L285 has a V1500 4 cylinder engine
And the 15321-03040 is a three cylinder head for a D1101.

Trying to use this head would require you to cut off a cylinder on your L285!

Don’t know how I got 15321–dyslexia, transposition ( just old age )

007kubotaguy: I’m in Illinois, tractor in Virginia. Not sure of service history of this little rugged tractor.
do you have a part number or tractor series where the 4 bolt plate would be common.
