    L3400dt 4x4 noise

At the point of no return now, one gear with two missing teeth, couple bad bearings on pinion shaft, then the right side axle is bent, that was $600.00 and showed up yesterday, now waiting for the rest of parts, total cost so far $1,200.00. Hoping next week rest of parts show up and also hoping...

    L3400dt 4x4 noise

I thought logging was hard on tractors, guess I was wrong. Last week while digging into a bank of dirt something let go inside the transmission in the 4x4 part where ever that is, very hard to pin point cause sound travels through metal. My son went to the local Kubota dealer with this video...

    Diff. lock petal

I knew I shouldn't of put a video on this site, everybody like to fine fault, I wont put no more on here. I Use diff lock to help keep the tractor straight on rough ground, sometimes muddy, sometimes rocky, sometimes both, I unlock it to turn with steering brakes. This tractor has never seen...

    Diff. lock petal

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MkAYZhveXE If I did this video right, you can see 1 reason out of 20 I have to show why I need diff lock, and I just cant keep my foot on a tiny diff lock petal, and I'm sure I have enough weight on the 3 point hitch.

    Diff. lock petal

I look all over this forum, am I the only one who cant stand standing on that tiny little diff. lock petal that's on the L3400 DT. After using the tractor for 6 month's moving dirt and getting out firewood I had to do something, this was addition No. 4 on my tractor.

    Chainsaw Holder?

My Daughter took a bunch of pictures of my chainsaw holder this weekend, I wrote on some measurements so you have some idea. Its 2 years old and showing some ware on the top where the saw goes in and out, probably should have a rubber insert there, but it's pre- drilled glued and screwed so it...

    Chainsaw Holder?

I think my daughter is coming out this weekend, I'll have her get some more detailed pictures where and how the chainsaw holder fits in. I know how to make the chainsaw holder, but how to put the pic. on the com is beyond my pay grade.

    Chainsaw Holder?

This is my sec. one, I Like using wood for a chainsaw holder, it wont dull the chain, and it's lite. I used 1/2" Oak, it's strong wood, drilled, clued and screwed. The first one I made lasted 6 years, it was still in great shape before it burnt up, another story. I like to cut my firewood in...

    Chainsaw Holder?

In 07 when I got my tractor, I was putting the chainsaw in the bucket, seamed like a nice place for it, then after a few weeks, on my way to get some more firewood, I wanted to move some dirt, so I scoop up the dirt, dumped it out in another place and see my chainsaw falling out, blank bleeping...

    Chainsaw Holder?

There's a good 1/2" gap between the loader mount, so this chainsaw holder slides in and out very easy, it's the first accessory I made.

Inexpensive but tough brush guard L2800F

I no longer dare to weld on rims that still have a tire on it after seeing a video of a tire exploding after only a few seconds of welding. My first tractor tires were tubeless with a heavy duty steel valve stem, it could take some hits from sticks and not brake, but when I replaced my tires...

Inexpensive but tough brush guard L2800F

If these pics. came through, this is my latest invention, brush guards to protect the valve stem on my L3400. I had brand new tires just put on, loaded with calcium, and one little stick hit the stem and another $140.00 to fix the tire, plus aggravation. After tires are on the rim, I cant weld...

L3400 DT clutch adjust - loader in the way

Someone said that the clutch adjustment behind the loader mount on the L3400 DT has nothing to do with shifting, it's for the 2 stage clutch where it engages/disengages the PTO, or something like that.

    L3400 DT Snapping/Knocking noise

I have my tractor in 4wd most of the time, but the snapping noise sounds like it's from the left rear side, I notice the sound most when I go in reverse a couple times, a few feet, with the diff locked in, trying to scoop up some dirt in the bucket, while I have a log hooked on the tractor...

    L3400 DT Snapping/Knocking noise

Hey, that's a couple good suggestions, thanks, bearings do make that kind of noise, some times bearing noise is constant, and sometimes it's not, but is it possible for a wheel bearing to wear out at only 600 hrs.? Maybe todays tractors are made to work in the hay field only, and not in the...

L3400 DT clutch adjust - loader in the way

If that dealer is right, then I'm with you on that, I wont split my tractor either, until it's stuck in gear and wont come out. I thought this tractor would last me 20 years before it started acting up, I guess I should of chosen the automatic L3400, instead of the standard

    L3400 DT Snapping/Knocking noise

Lately I've been hearing a snapping/ knocking noise on my (07) L3400 DT with 600+ hrs. Sounds like it's coming from the left rear side, but it's not constant, so it's hard to pin point the noise, it sounds like a hammer tapping on the wheel when it does it. I don't know if the diff. lock is...

L3400 DT clutch adjust - loader in the way

I noticed this same problem on my L3400 DT this year at 600 hrs. So far it doesn't happen a lot, but when it does get stuck in gear, I have to pop the clutch a couple times to get it out of gear. All I know is it didn't do that when it was new. I might try adjusting the clutch behind the loader...

    L3400 Stuck in gear (?)

Been looking online to see if anyone else had their tractor get stuck in gear, now I feel better. I have this same tractor (07) kubota L3400dt with 400 hrs. and today I just had this same problem for the first time. I had to pry the low range bar back into the shifting lever. I wonder if the...
