    Thanks for that Wolfman. I'll get one ordered today. I was looking at that yesterday but it had me thrown ,as I thought it was an inner oil seal rather than the cover oil seal.

    It's a fairly rough repair to get me back going but it worked. Had to move fast welding for fear I'd warp the shaft. It's working away but I've not much confidence in it holding so I'll pick up a new shaft soon.

    They are each about 20kg. Thankfully all the bouncing from the front has stopped now.

    Discovered my rotavator was a bit heavy for this little tractor so I made some crude weights out of 1" plate steel for the front. Not in stainless this time though.

    Not fully completed but enough done for this season. She is ready to do a bit of work in the field now. I've a few guards to make up but as I work out the kinks it will be fine. Must also make up some weights / ballast for the front but I can add them after. Thanks to everyone for all the help...

    One last job before it hits the field. Wire my brake lights. Made a little bracket ,fitted the brake switch and connected up.

    Yeah it's ok but I want to be self-sufficient rather than roping in someone. Think Im going to call to my local motor bike repair shop and pick up some old chains and gears see how it comes together with hopper and chain...i might then strip down my existing unit and see can I blend the 2

    Yeah maybe something with a hopper. This year i made a very crude plough with ridger and a wheel that delivered a spud every 12" loaded by hand but the wheel didn't rotate consistently for me so had to drop by hand.

    Hi Folks, I'm looking for some help or guidance in making a small potatoe planters. Single row planter to attach to 3 PT linkage .I can't seem to find a simple design that I can copy. Anyone point me in the right direction or have photos of a simple one they have or made in the past?

    That's probably a very good idea. Much more stable .Think I'll move them out to the widest position too when I'm fitting the 3 point linkage.

    Had to turn the wheels inside out ...but delighted with them . I placed them in the closest position with 2 wider positions available
