Thanks for your idea. I think this is how it's designed. I'll go have a look. I think you remove a Cotter pin and slide the whole mechanism sideways to remove/replace. That's how it's designed..

Great tip mate, I'm going to go and have a look now. Perhaps this is it. Sounds like my issue as one side tends to not 'pop out' and sits better. I've got a video of the problem I posted on a facebook group, but it's a Kubota Australia group and won't let you access unless you're a group member...

Hey mates, I've got a BX25D with one serious and one annoying issue with the swivel seat. 1. The seat "pops out" on the right side pin where the latch is that releases it to lift up and swivel around. Has anyone had this issue? I can't pin point the problem..it seems like the whole mechanism...
