    Box Blade

Not trying to muddy up your plans but I have two box blades... 5' and a 6'. Both are sub par compared to the land plane for leveling up a driveway or other uneven ground. If you are trying to move dirt or gravel then the box blade works well. If you want to fill in ruts or put a crown on a...

    Leveling out a field

UPDATE: I bought a land plane on Friday. This is the way. I was able to cut the ridges down easily with it and it filled in the low spots with the dirt it shaved off. The biggest issue was grass clods. So, I pulled them to one end of the field. Scooped them up and dumped them on my garden...

    Leveling out a field

This is exactly what happened today. The box blade just pulled clods of grass making ruts

    Leveling out a field

Bog Harrow is just a harrow with oversized disc/ scalloped discs for cutting into new ground. Mine can go pretty deep. Works better than a plow if there are roots or stumps to deal with.

    Leveling out a field

I am currently mowing (as my back yard) a 4-acre field that in years past has had corn, soybeans and many other crops in it. I have used a box blade to level out some of it but it isn't great. Ruts have washed in places, and it is hard packed Georgia red Clay. Not easy to work with. Aside...

    Is there chart somewhere....

Thanks for the replies. Somewhere I saw where one of the companies that sells these things had a tractor weight and track width recommended for each one of their flail mowers. I have not been able to locate that again.

    Is there chart somewhere....

Thats good info. I bought used and didn't get a manual. Doesn't really say anything about a ditch bank mower hanging off the side though.

    Is there chart somewhere....

I went to purchase a ditch bank flail last week and it looked like junk when I saw it in person. So I am back to looking again. When I call around for pricing on new I get a different response from every dealer on what my tractor can handle. I have more than one tractor, but I want to put...

Using 3rd function for ditch / bank mower

Picking up a used ditch bank flail today. I am still not 100% convinced this is what I really need but want to try it to see how I like it. Good deal so if I don't like it, I can sell it. However, I don't want to spend the money for more remotes (I have one) until I am sure I want to keep it...

    Blue Diamond Flail Mower

I have yet to pull the trigger on one of these... though I want one. I am concerned about how large of a ditch bank mower my little L2501 can handle. So many mixed reviews. Greg

L2501 RH mat doesn’t fit well

I ordered mats from dealer. Right side holes for the two bolts is off about 3/4 inch. Did they give me the wrong part? Package has part # TC820-57510

    Rubber Mat for transmission cover

And it looks like you took off the FEL control cover... Can't see if you have a hood/ bonnet or not. LOL... I did think about just leaving it off as well.

    Rubber Mat for transmission cover

Anyone ever come up with a rubber mat or something for the transmission cover in floor of a L series? I just repainted mine as it was worn down to the metal. I have seen rubber mats for the left and right but nothing for that cover. Greg

    Grab handle nut size

I ordered the right side grab handle for my L2501. It didn't come with the nuts to attach it. I am metric challenged... Anyone know what size nut that is? Greg

I believe Cosmo makes the IronCraft Flail. If not... they sure made them look exactly alike. Greg

    changing my mind daily

I have a grasp on what is required on the hydraulic side of it thanks to people on this site. My concerns are these... Can my L2501 handle a ditch bank Flail without damage to the tractor as I have seen in some other images. Will the offset make the tractor even more "tipsy" than it already...

    changing my mind daily

Hey... I like the way you think. However, many do know the pastor sees me doing it and one of the Elders is a friend of mine. It's OK I don't do it for recognition anyway... it just looks bad if I don't.
