    So apparently correct front rims are 16x7. The best I have found so far are 16x6 or 16x8. Will the 1” width variation throw off the circumference significantly? Seems like the faster rear tire wear would have a bigger impact

    So my L245 deal fell through, so I bought a ‘93 L2850. Has worn out 20” turf tires which I’m not a fan of. I’d like to switch to 24” ag tires, but “early” center plates seem to be scarce around here and somewhat costly . Will the later “B” style 6-lug plates work on my tractor? Will any other...

    Thanks Wolfman, As things turned out, when I went to pick up the tractor, one last inspection revealed that all was not as seller claimed, so I killed the deal. A couple days later I picked up a pretty nice 2850DT-GST. I’m in Bonners, and yes the soil is sandy.

    4540A Backhoe on an L245

    Hi all, I’m a new-b to the tractor world but not to wrenching or fabricating/welding. I just bought a nice L245, low hours, has a few attachments, but I was wondering if it would handle a 4540A backhoe? I know the spec hoe is a 4520, but could the L245 handle the weight if I fab some frame brackets?
