What's up with some new members?

" What's up with some new ,members? " The same thing that's "UP" with mankind as a whole. The "ups" originate within and spring from The Seven Deadly Sins. (1) pride (2) greed (3) lust (4) envy (5) gluttony (6) wrath (7) sloth. We might better understand "what's up" by discussing how to...

    Roundup active ingredient change

Is this a roundabout way of suggesting people read and follow instructions on containers? If so I 100% agree. Thousands of trees and other landscape plants are killed annually by indiscriminate use of "weed-n-feed. Twice as many are killed by haphazard spraying.

I take laundry detergent jugs to blind with me for that purpose and make every attempt to wait when there isn't one handy.

If you did all that alone I commend you because handling those poles is a feat for two people and a tractor.

Clutch replacement, was not expecting this

My experience exactly. After hearing testimonials of Ospho protecting metal for over 20 years I applied some 5 days ago and didn't paint over it. It rained since but the piece was beneath a cover and showing flash rust this morning.

Clutch replacement, was not expecting this

I loathe when this happens since it's difficult to resolve without leaving hard feelings. I've never left metal exposed after treating with Ospho unless metal was primed and painted after treatment so I can't say from experience that Ospho won't protect metal. However I can speak from...

    B9200 broken trans case

You unselfishly share technical information daily that isn't available elsewhere even if people are willing to pay for it. Thank you on behalf of all those you help,,,,,,however I believe you deserve a little more reward than gratitude. I'm not suggesting you sell advice on OTT , keep up your...

Clutch replacement, was not expecting this

Going by even distribution of built up rust mixed with clutch dust, I believe you will find evidence of coolant leak after flywheel is off. Most likely freeze plug.

🧐 Mice! Why of course it's mice, cats are certain death for rats but totally ignore mice. 🤪 I feel like such a fool in overlooking that widely known fact.

    B2400 starting issues

Additional information you supplied in post #10 points to loose connection. A bad solenoid or relay often works intermittently but seldom 6 months intermittent then six months consistent. Could be - as well as + but loose. First place to look is where wires connect to relay. If you can...

    B2400 starting issues

You will need a wiring diagram and multimeter to find the problem. If you insist on changing parts until it's fixed I'd suggest relay but check for blown fuse(s) first.

    B2400 starting issues

After looking at the solenoid for your tractor I can see that rod isn't visible. Have you temporarily attached old solenoid to harness to see if power reaches it when cycling key? Is it possible that filter is clogged? Have you checked for fuel flow at injection pump inlet? I would suspect...

    B2400 starting issues

Well your first mistake was giving the tractor a woman's name. Had you called it Bowser, Rambo or such your swearing and cussing would be taken in stride but you know as well as I do that a woman will shut down when that starts. You have two choices, buy another tractor or suck it up and talk...
