Appreciate the response. I was adding more oil to replace the amount that leaked as the steering and gear change seemed to be affected by the loss of oil. The tractor had been running for a full day before this leakage started.

Can anyone tell me what the small spindle is for just below the oil level plug on my L2000DT Tractor Transmission. I removed this while working on another issue and now cannot get it to screw all the way back in. It looks like it may push on something internally. Photos attached.
