Which one to buy and why: MX5400HST or L4060HST-LE?

LOL! Yes that seems to happen here quite a bit. Both are great tractors, both available with a cab. Grand L has some very nice features you won't find on the MX such as the HST Plus. I also think it has a better ergonomic layout of the loader and rear remote controls - a bit more luxury if a...

What are your thoughts on consolidating down to a LX35/40 20?

I'd keep the L4760 and trade the BX for a zero turn. I'm not sure how much you have to mow, but a zero turn generally does it better.

Help figuring out what I need for my new property

We're in a similar situation except this isn't our primary residence but rather a weekend place so getting it done quickly was less important than saving some money. We have 44 acres with a building site right off the road. This is what our building site looked like when we bought the land...

    Quick Hitch

I have the QH15 on my L3560 and it works well. I like the adjustable top link. I need to use the adjustable top link it to pick up my WoodMaxx chipper vs my Land Pride box blade and rotary cutter.

New Tractor Advice for a newbie please

I agree, bigger is better for what you're suggesting. I know what I'm going to suggest is pure blasphemy to some, but if costs are an issue, consider dropping the backhoe from your shopping list. Just plan to rent a mini excavator for the few times you'll need to do big backhoe digging. It'll...

Are the diesel rtvs really that slow?

"There is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats" We named our property Port Tack Farm because in sailing when you're on port tack, you're the burdened or give way boat, in essence sailing against the grain. Having a boat shop on a farm in...

Are the diesel rtvs really that slow?

I really have know idea on fuel consumption. Most of our use of the Ranger is just running around he property, often 100-200 yds. at a time. We've owned it since 2021 and I think we have a total of 60 miles on it. As to boats, we have several small sailboats (Sunfish, Highlander, MC Scow...

Are the diesel rtvs really that slow?

We have a Polaris Ranger 1000. We use it mostly around our acreage. A few trails and lots of yard chores, etc. Depending on your expected use, speed, or the potential for speed, can be overrated. The only time our UTV get's above 8 mph is when I decide I need to stretch it's legs a bit just...

    New tractor buyer

Sounds like you pulled the trigger on your deal already, Congratulations. If you plan to use the box blade for much, you might want to consider moving to a heavier duty one. The BB1272 is okay, but fairly light duty. Just a thought and suggestion. Of course if you don't plan use it much...

    New LX2620

Congrats on the new tractor and on sticking firmly to your budget! Not an expert in any way, but I suspect most of the implements your son runs on his 3902 will work just fine on your new tractor.

    New tractor buyer

Wnen someone on this forum suggests you might be thinking about way more tractor than you need, I'd listen. We all like spending someone else's money so most suggestions are bigger tractor / more power. In this situation, I think @Elliott in GA is offering good advice. The compromise...

    L3902 price used

I'd be really careful. Loader or no loader, there is a reason it's priced so cheaply and at least 90% of those possible reasons aren't good for you.

L4060 vs L4760 real world loader capacity comparison

If you don't add ballast beyond loaded tires, you probably won't even be able to use full lifting capacity of the LA805. I have the L3560 with loaded tires and the LA805 and I need the box blade on the back to get full lifting capacity.

    Which rotary cutter

A 10" carbide circular saw blade spinning near your feet and ankles tend to make you a bit aware of what you're doing. There is a guard on the back side of he blade which I'm sure some brave folks will find superfluous, but it certainly adds a bit of protection. I've used mine to take down...

Any additional nput on 3pt chippers?

We burn a lot with burn piles and there's no doubt we could burn much of what gets chipped. That said, our soil is mostly clay with very little top soil in spots, so anytime I can add organic matter back into the ground it's a good thing. We also use the chipped mulch on trails and in other...

    Which rotary cutter

I use a Honda 4 stroke Trimmer/Brush Cutter. It has a 10" blade and does a great job with those saplings, etc.

    Which rotary cutter

Not much I can add here. @rc51stierhoff is spot on with his comments. I'd only add if looking at rotary cutters, I'd spend a bit more for a heavier duty cutter, especially if it's something you think you'll use a lot. The RC1200 series Land Prides are very common at dealerships, but I'd jump...
