I'm going to view a used B2410 with mmm in the uk.

So I got my G1900 running and working satisfactory over the summer but whilst it's great for the lawn it does struggle with my 2 acres of rough pasture. I'd originally been looking at used BX series which would probably suit my needs better but I'm swayed by the bigger tractor for a couple of...

Could anyone please tell me whats going on with my mower deck?

Some extra background info; I purchased the mower as a running project but the deck wasn't working. On taking off the covers it looked like someone had tried to fit a belt but gave up. Whilst my deck is rear discharge (Rc48-g20R) I could only find diagrams and photos of side discharge decks...

Could anyone please tell me whats going on with my mower deck?

The deck is rear discharge. *The problem is now fixed by rerouting the 96 inch belt as suggested by rocket engineer* The tension pulley is in the original factory position which works fine now the belt is rerouted correctly with enough room around grease points etc.

Could anyone please tell me whats going on with my mower deck?

Thank you everyone for your help- as advised I rerouted the belt following the green lines using the longer belt and Bingo! It works!

Could anyone please tell me whats going on with my mower deck?

*The belt that the deck has eaten is a blue/green reinforced OEM Kubota/mitsuboshi of correct width and shape as well as are the other 2 belts of slightly different lengths.* I haven't tried non OEM belts of 'in between' sizes yet as I believe that might end up an expensive way to short term...

Could anyone please tell me whats going on with my mower deck?

Yes yes yes! Thank you- that's exactly what I have in mind and what I'm going to try. Even though that configuration is set out in my mind your masterfully edited diagram really does help immensely. Much easier than blurry internet photos or my apparent V-velt dyslexia! Can you work out if the...

Could anyone please tell me whats going on with my mower deck?

Yes! That's exactly what I'm thinking- that plus the problem that adjusting the tension seems to create in this configuration, too slack or pushed up against itself running in the opposite direction. I did notice that the main pulley from the mower gearbox seemed to be the one slipping first...

Could anyone please tell me whats going on with my mower deck?

No it wasn't, hence the slipping. I have tried adjusting the belt both ways- 1 way is too slack whilst the other way pushes the belt against itself causing rubbing and damage. I guess the next step is try routing the belt the same as in the picture of the BX belly mower above?

Could anyone please tell me whats going on with my mower deck?

Plus according to the kubota manual the only difference between my deck and the deck in post 8 is that mine is rear discharge. They are both Rc48-g20 decks otherwise.

Could anyone please tell me whats going on with my mower deck?

Yes indeed- the routing appears correct to me too and the blades turn correctly. The fact that the brand new belt is fubar after 30 minutes use and too loose exactly describes the problem I'm hoping someone has a solution for.

Could anyone please tell me whats going on with my mower deck?

This is how the belt and pulley configuration SHOULD look on the Rc48-g20 deck.

Could anyone please tell me whats going on with my mower deck?

I can't be certain I have the correct belt no. So far it has been an expensive 'trial and error' to get a belt of the correct length.

Could anyone please tell me whats going on with my mower deck?

The mower was purchased recently and no- the deck did not work at first. The OEM belt definitely seems to be too long to fit a deck with the tension arm positioned where it is. IF the tension arm was on the other side then the OEM belt would fit fine.

Could anyone please tell me whats going on with my mower deck?

I'm wondering if I should try the shorter belt again or whether the belt should be configured the same way as this photo of a Bx mmm?

Could anyone please tell me whats going on with my mower deck?

I have tried adjusting the tension arm to almost max. The other direction appears to make the belt even slacker. Also- I ordered the correct belt (96inch) for the model mower and it was too long so I measured with rope and purchased an 84 inch belt. This appeared to be too tight to fit the...

Could anyone please tell me whats going on with my mower deck?

I've downloaded the manual for this deck and those familiar with it may notice the tension arm is on the wrong side. The (brand new) Mitsuboshi belt isn't happy with it as you can see- just testing the mower caused lots of slip and burning, probably due to not enough tension in the belt. Have I...

    Daily Chuckle

Basically the cat managed to escape through one of the many gaps or holes in the vehicle. Landrovers are rugged and good off road but they are draughty and not at all warm and comfy unlike a lot of their Japanese rivals.

    Rck deck on a G1900?

I've already downloaded those thank you but my deck layout is slightly different with the tension arm mounted on the other side, hence the need for a slightly shorter belt. The V belts I've used are genuine OEM Mitsobushi belts.

    Daily Chuckle

A niche joke in that its British and you have to have owned an old land rover. All the same, it's 4x4's rather than tractors and I'm sure you will all understand the sentiment. On hearing that the Japanese technicians used a live cat to test the water and air tightness of the cabins of the...

No he didn't- this one would be a swift visit to the vets! *Muscaria poisoning; nausea and vomiting, somnolence, dizziness, hallucinations, dysphoria, delirium, ataxia, myoclonic movements, and seizures.* Probably a slug or snail or possibly a squirrel. He's definitely faster than the tractor...
