I agree with @Kennyd4110. When plowing snow, using my ballast box, instead of my box blade, makes working around buildings, vehicles, and other objects much easier. Yes it's a one trick pony, but nothing beats it for rear ballast when working in close quarters.

Looks like he may have a gravel driveway. If so, the gravel will stick to the wet snow and get jammed between the augers and the housing, resulting in busted shear pins.

The factory edge is steel (1/4" I believe), but they also offer a 1/2" poly option. I have found that an aftermarket 1" rubber edge works well for my gravel driveway, but I purchased a 1" urethane edge to try out this year (if it ever snows here).

Just to follow up on this, I ended up going with a EA Wicked 55 grapple. Haven't got to the land clearing yet, but it proved useful on multiple occasions for cleanup after storms.
