    To those that understand

JimDel replied: I think he meant CRUISING. Looks like AI/Spell check got him. My first thought was: looks like Hagrid might’ve got you! 😂 (Also sure you are right about AI/Spell corrupt)

Kubota B and BX series salvage yard

Initially I took the two ends of the broken strap and bent them back into hook shapes. Made a rubber loop using a bicycle inner tube to hold them together and it functioned for a while, but the metal strap broke again in a different place. Part of the issue is that the BX engine shakes rather...

Kubota B and BX series salvage yard

My BX 2200 is the same tractor (without the loader and backhoe). After repairing a broken air cleaner strap several times over the years, a year or two ago came up with this solution which is a winner, for me anyway. KISS solution- cheap imported bungee cord (picture taken about a month or two ago):

    Dipper snapped

I think GeoHorn may confused steel with concrete...:)

Wish I had another inch or so ;)

I probably would have just ran a quick bead of weld down the washer stack (after adding additional washers if needed) and went and grabbed another beer...wait, I quit alcohol last July...another sparkling water...LOL edit: Forgot to add, I admire the enthusiasm you youngsters have...:)

    4690 BACKHOE hydraulic cylinder removal

I don’t remember when I disconnected or reconnected the hoses at the cylinder, but I also don’t remember it as being any kind of a big deal either. I think once you start the job it becomes obvious what you need to do.

    4690 BACKHOE hydraulic cylinder removal

The following thread at TBN has some pictures. Turns out I raised the back of the backhoe higher than the outriggers could lift it by putting 12 inch concrete blocks under the outrigger pads in order to get enough angle...

    4690 BACKHOE hydraulic cylinder removal

I’ve done that on my BL 4690 backhoe. You want to get the rear of the tractor high with respect to the point on the ground that the boom is going to touch when it’s fully extended. I think I raised the back of my tractor as high as I could with the outriggers and held it up with Jack stands. If...

    BX23s Fuel Pump opinions wanted

Fuel pumps aren’t rocket science. I say buy the one for 35 bucks and learn your lesson. That’s what I would do. I did the same with a fuel cut off solenoid on my BX 2 or 3 years ago. I learned my lesson… It’s still working fine.

B3030 PTO, Neutral, Seat Safety Switches

There’s a good chance you have a main in-line fuse that is separate from the small block that holds multiple fuses. If you don’t find a blown fuse in the block, look for the main fuse inserted in a wire somewhere.

    Bx23 4 wheel drive coupler

I wouldn’t call this a tip, but something to think about. I believe I read that the spring pins have a proper orientation when you put them in. I believe the slot in the pin is supposed to point along the length of the shaft that U joint is mounted on. What I remember is that this allows the pin...

B2710 Lost power in high range

When you say it will not move in high range what do you mean? Is it acting the same as it would act if the range selector was between selections? Is the engine lugging down when you try to move in high range? Or? My B 2910 is essentially the same tractors the B 2710 except for engine...

    G1800, ran out of diesel...

While this generally may be the case, I have read over the years reports where tractors with lift pumps did actually run after a pump failure. I believe in those cases the level of fuel in the fuel tank was higher than the injector pump and gravity feed was working. Just a data point… however...
