No, absolutely nothing happens. The lever linkage moves and moves the shaft going into the transmission housing but it is like the shaft is no longer connected to anything. No noise, no movement, no nothing. I'm afraid the mower has earned it's first trip to the dealer, after only 15 years.

Penetrant, of course. I can't wait to try the home brew. I have to break loose alot of hardware that has Loctite on it and I have found that heat is your friend. But maybe just use Kroil if you are using heat. Heat is good, fire maybe not so good.
