    Turnbuckles trashed, new sway bars

Looking at your pictures, i see why it works for you. Yours mount on the inside of the lift arms. Mine mount on the outside. Not enough room. Messicks told me they would work, but they are a no go.

    Turnbuckles trashed, new sway bars

I had ordered a set of those last Fall for my 3901. Unfortunately, with the Blower attached, they would rub on the insides of my tires. Try as I may, every configuration I attempted failed to remove this aspect. The Blower is a 3PT Kubota BLMX 3164. After the third storm, I decided to go back to...

    Difference L2501 and L3901

I had a 2501 and I am MUCH happier with the 3901. It is quite noticeably quieter, and gobs more power, especially when you have to speed down during snow blowing operations. In the areas I clean, often times I have to idle down to 1500 RPM so I don't bury the neighbors. Even with the deflector...

    DIY Snowblower Chute Rotator

Electric is the way to go honestly. I did my chute rotator with a $99 winch from tractor supply, and a $40 10" Linear Actuator for the deflector. Works absolutely awesome. My Father in Law found it so cool, he had me to the same to his new set up too.

    New L 3301 problem

Sparky, my 3901 did its first regen at 17 hours. But working it harder through the Winter has extended those hours to 32 and 44 hours between regens. I try not to let it idle below 1500rpm for any amount of time except for warm-up. (warm-up is AT 1500rpm). Regens are pretty uneventful, and I...

How do you deal with snow?

Thanks man. Our Internet is frustratingly slow here so we try to keep the vids to a minimum. Thats 34 inches of snow by the way...The 3901 doesnt even slow down at all blowing this stuff. It's like it just plays with it.

Drilling loader frame for canopy support

I used a set of those to mount a 6" PVC pipe with bottom cap, and top screw cap....to store my chains on the tractor. They are mounted to the rear of the loader frame, and offer easy on/off if desired.

    Snow Pusher

The 2501 I had before this 3901 pushed it just fine.(when it ran). The model I have is 870 pounds, but my blower is always on the 3pt, so I don't notice any traction issues. And you are correct, having a bucket to get out of a jam is nice to have.

    Snow Pusher

It is rather open, but I dont mind that at all. It allows me to tackle banks or windrows that are quite a bit higher than the blower itself. Oddly enough, it swallows and pulls the taller snow banks in, rather than overflowing the top. It also...oddly enough, doesnt fling snow up, or in front of...

    Snow Pusher

As an owner of a Cotech 72" Snow Pusher, I can honestly say it is the most versatile piece of equipment on my tractor. It is heavy at 870 pounds, but the 3901 handles it very well. What is nice about this model is the ability to back-drag cleanly from garage doors and pile into windrows, to...

    Using Anti-Gel

Thank you thank you thank you. It seemed a little light with what I came up with. The wheels fell off when I tried to convert Metric to standard system (ml, l, cc to qts, pints and oz). So 82 ml/cc it will be. That makes much more sense. Even at $24 a bottle, it is still infinitely cheaper than...

It says that is the diesel is already cloudy, to use double strength.

    Using Anti-Gel

I have never used Diesel Anti-Gel additives. I have always gotten by using K-1 Kerosene mixed with my Diesel. Problem here, is that K-1 cost me $32 for 2 gallons at Canadian Tire, thus making it cost prohibitive. I have purchased some Kleen-Flo Diesel Anti-Gel additive. I have used many...

I probably wouldnt worry too much about the plow's weight. My little 3901 handles a 900lb Cotech Snow Pusher with ease, and what you have there is much, much more tractor than I have.

    Glo Plug Cold weather

Ahh..Yes, very true. But it is the cold starts until warmed up to temp that worry me somewhat. I can't remember when I ran more than 80 hours on the same oil in ANY piece of equipment I have ever owned. I'm kind of a "Maintenance Psycho" so to speak. I tend to over maintain my stuff, because I...

    Glo Plug Cold weather

I had contacted Kubota Canada directly through email, and posed that very question. Their response was that seeing continual use in below zero-f (-17c respectively), there was no problem using the 5/40. The problem arises when you run 5/40 in Summer heat, which I dont do anyway. I always change...

Trust me, even though they are "locked in"...we still cant fish until Jan 1st. I think thats even worse than what you are going through...LOL!! Can't wait to do some hardwater fishing again!!

I get the sensation (like a York Peppermint Patty) that we are going to get hammered this year.

    Glo Plug Cold weather

I have no qualms with the 5/40 ESPECIALLY in Winter. -16f this morning and even without being plugged in, she spun over like in Summer. Tractor runs much smoother too and is much quieter. I trust the Rotella very much. All of the farm equipment I have used throughout my life has run Rotella in...
