    M7060 Windsheild Washer Reservoir

Got it done. Looked at a parts diagram on Messicks and it shows the second pump and tubing for the rear window, but no nozzle or wiper. Guess that's added at the dealer if you can afford it. The kit is a universal "add on" kit and is pretty decent for the price. The main selling point was the...

    M7060 Windsheild Washer Reservoir

Well, there is no washer/wiper on my rear window. I have no idea where the other tubing goes. I hooked up the pump(one) on the new kit and it pumps/squirts the windshield. If I put a little air pressure on the other tube, it feels like it is open ended. Maybe they install the ''dual" system...

    M7060 Windsheild Washer Reservoir

Duhh,,,,Thanks guys. I didn't know it had a washer on the rear window  I seldom use the washers. I just spray the "barn dust" off as part of my "pre-flight" checks, but it's so windy and dusty now, I can't see where I'm going if I'm shredding with the wind. I don't think I've refilled...

    M7060 Windsheild Washer Reservoir

@ hBK82,,, Did you buy the universal kit? Have you rigged it up yet? I've got a similar one coming tomorrow. I haven't got a plan yet. Haven't had time to worry about it. Why do they have two separate pumps and lines? Any ideas anyone? I haven't looked at it too close yet. Thanks for the...

    M7060 Windsheild Washer Reservoir

Very ingenious of them,,,BIO DEGRADEABLE PE. And where it is mounted is probably THE roughest riding point on the tractor. The design guarantees no aftermarket direct replacement. The kicker is,,we, (our manufacturers) taught them all about "Time Bomb" engineering. :(

Lucas X-TRA HD poly urea grease hard to find.

I wasn't intending to ""pick on lucas". They make good stuff. I don't know about all greases, but out of the 3 or 4 that I use, the green is the only one that leaks out of the gun. Not deal breaker, just get kinda nasty when ambient temp in my shop gets up to around 110 f. I keep my grease guns...

Lucas X-TRA HD poly urea grease hard to find.

That's my only complaint on the Green Lucas stuff, the green oil dripping out the gun. I sometimes wrap an old rag around it to soak it up. Thanks again for the input.

Lucas X-TRA HD poly urea grease hard to find.

Thanks Paul. I emailed Lucas a while back and they replied Red & Tacky was NOT compatible with X-tra HD. ?? Maybe I need to call and actually talk to someone. Amazing how little "reliable" info is available online for this subject. Thanks for the reply/info. Gary

Lucas X-TRA HD poly urea grease hard to find.

Lucas X-TRA HD poly urea grease hard to find. Anyone know if the JohnDeere SD poly is compatible to use behind the Lucas? For use mostly in my 15' rotary cutter(we call'em shredders) around here, but if you "google it" you'll get shredders for documents etc. :) I've been using the Lucas green...

    Rear mesh guard

Thanks. I never realized how MUCH paint it takes to cover expanded metal. I hope to be able to do some pasture cleanup without scratching up my tractor. Probably near impossible. I need to get to work on a grill guard that will protect the front mounted "backup" camera. It helps with the tree...

    Rear mesh guard

Finally got around to finishing the "screen" to protect the rear glass. I'm thinking I might make a lower section to keep cuttings off the remotes, linkages and etc that are exposed. With my luck, a chunk of wood will probably bounce up under the screen. If I do that, I'll hinge it so as to have...

    Rear mesh guard

I'm shredding just west from you in George West. I have the same concerns you have. I added rubber belting to the front of my shredder but still worry about glass. I have some caliche to worry about also.. What tractor are you running?[/QUOTE: M7060hdc. I'm almost done with the guard/screen...

    Rear mesh guard

I saw some "ready made" polycarbonate shields for sale commercially, but they were too expensive and were held on with suction cups. I would need almost all of a 4x8 sheet to cover the area I want to protect. Today I bought a 4x8 piece of expanded metal to use. I have a "plan", and hopefully, it...

    Rear mesh guard

It will attach to the tractor(cab frame). Not but one or two places to "attach". The shredder has chain guards on the front, and they do a pretty good job, except when backing into/over cuttings or trees. The chains are then "trailing" and allow cuttings to get through. I only see small pieces...

    Rear mesh guard

Hoping to find some ideas on fabricating an expanded metal(or something similar) guard to shield the rear fenders, tail lights, window, and work lights. It'll have to be 5' wide at the tail light/fender level, and 4' high to shield the big rear window on a M7060hdc. I'm shredding huisatche and...

    Accessing the 7060 oil filler

I have one like that. Don't remember what I used it for but with heavier fluids you have to "draw" the plunger slowly all the way back, and then push it all the way in slowly. Works good, but like Daren said, "cold oil moves slowly",,,,like me. :D
