    Thanks, D2CAT. I just fired it up after putting everything back where it belongs, and it fired up fine with no overheating of wires or glow plug indicator. Held the preheat switch over until I could feel heat coming off of the indicator from about 1" away -- figured in summertime (temp 89F)...
