Tire foaming question(s)....Has anyone here done it?

I have used machinery with foamed tires. I loved 'em. But these were all heavy, low speed material handing and construction units. @chim in post 21 is spot on about various foam weights and densities. And the smaller the diameter the lower the max speed. You don't just drop set of tires/wheels...

    Committed the ultimate sin.

The compression release on rigs that have one is really handy when bleeding. But I don't understand all the difficulty. Your enemy to defeat is ANY air in the fuel lines, the filter housing, the filter, the line to the low pressure pump and lastly the injection pump itself. Any air is going to...

    Committed the ultimate sin.

Ultimate sin?!? That would be rolling the tractor, not so much running low on fuel once in a while. I try not to suck air with low fuel but it happens but is an easy fix. It takes longer to go get a wrench for the vent and carry a diesel jug back than it does to bleed the system. Just don't...

    Suggestions for a wood floor.

I suppose it depends on your level of pain and how you live. We have some laminate in low traffic areas. The main floor is high traffic in the extreme deep woods with 3 working dogs who are also family companions. Some day I will get 16x16 tile down. I always appreciate t&g oak. I would never do...

    B7100 valve clearance procedure

Road vehicles are one thing. But my 2010 JD 410j or my 80s B7100 are pre-emission and no DEF and I couldn't be happier from annoyances I've heard even when the newer systems are working normally.

    Used Hydraulic fluid

Not straight - it's too thin. In the winter I run it 50/50 with regular bar lube.

    Batteries in cold weather

In general it is NOT GOOD to keep a LPO4 battery at full charge. Also, in general, the chemistry suffers in frigid temps. Both of those will shorten the life and they are expensive. I'd recommend a lead battery if your temps are that cold. They are getting better. The solid state tech is...

Lets see your weld on bucket hooks

Some people didn't see that OP. Some people use their SCUTs like their pickup - just hook up and yank the thing.. Those people complain about manufacturing quality and it breaks. You ease everything. You never yank it. Friggin city people. Never yank.

Lets see your weld on bucket hooks

It depends on the machine doesn't it? But even with a 1.5 yard bucket on a commercial duty machine it is best practice to keep the load centered. Going to the sides is inviting disaster. The bigger the machine the greater the disaster. On the B7100 when I work it I watch the bucket. If the top...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I took a chance.... I emptied the 100g transfer tank (died) last fall. I haven't done much with the tractors and the 6x4 only sips diesel. I have a 55g drum that was filled full at the same time. The fuel is over 3 years old. When I brought the stuff home I knew it would be a while but I didn't...

Fixing hole in side of block

Like many things the arc was on the rod, not the base. It flowed to the base (the can). The high freq carried the whole thing because the amps were so low. The weld was a blob compared to the can. But it was tight. I won't comment on Canadian beer cans or their beer.

Fixing hole in side of block

I learned to arc weld in high school. I started with a 4x4x1/4 plate. I also learned to weld with oxy-ace and a coat hanger. There is a place for oxy-ace. I also achieved welding an aluminum beer can with a tig. Nowhere would I do a oxy-ace welds like this. It is just ridiculous.

In all the years of owning GS dogs they were sneaky kitchen counter thieves. One more than another. Oh yeah, the 'I got caught long face' along with a scolding. But for both the dog and me it was all for show. We KNEW what each other was thinking. Me, 'I would do the same thing.' The dog. I have...

Yes. Just a single kiss. It's a non-issue to a 90+# very active protector. It'd be worse damage if they rode to the city on a trip. We eat really good but I wish we could do the same for the dogs. Mass produced dog food sucks. Bubba loves his asparagus stumps. Don't get in the way of his raw...

Wife just bought a pup: another Catahoula. To add to two 7yo critters, male and sister. NOTHING gets through our gate. They love people but never have I seen a dog judge a person in such short order. The dogs nail it every time. If they weird out the person is not trustworthy. Period. They stay...

We have brother and sister Catahoula dogs. The male takes to the wife and the female to me. It's interesting how that works.
