    Rear Chains on

R4s are good on the flat. But I have a sledding hill that ends in traffic. Sliding down the hill on the BX is not fun. Chains (and sand) are the magic that turns it back in to a driveway.

Sizing a Hydraulic motor to rotate Chute on a BX5450

Does not take much torque to turn the chute. Too much torque and you could damage the worm or chute gear at end of rotation. I will second the simple 12 volt motor. Adapted a surplus seat adjuster motor for my chute rotate. Then a joystick on the control lever to control both the chute...

    First dent and scratch

If you want to dent or scratch it go for it. It is your toy/tool. I prefer to wait out the natural course of events and have a story about the marks that add character to the tractor or whatever. Have taught kids that dented steel is fixable. Problems come with dented person. I have got the...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I'd send the employer a letter about the guy 'trashing the company name'. Many companies care about public image. The boss suggesting he go help clean up neighborhoods may change the attitude.

    BX 2370 pallet forks

Last year I broken the Kubota quick attach on my BX. Swapping bucket and forks by pulling pins is doable but takes a few minutes. While waiting for new quick attach from dealer noticed the lifting capacity was higher with the attachment directly on the loader arms. The OP mentioned pushing...

    BX 2370 pallet forks

If your main concern is maximum lift capacity you can get a fork set without a quick change adapter. The Kubota adapter, AI2 adapter and SSQA plates all extend the bucket or forks out reducing the load capacity a little. The Kubota and AI2 forks both with directly pin to the loader arms. The...

One more thing to piss you off

I had one mailbox bashed. Replaced it the heavy wall version. That one survived a drunk bending the 2" pipe over. Thinking the next generation will be small box inside large box. Question is what to fill the gap between the boxes with. Flour, paint, ... ?

    Hooks on a bx bucket

I went with Kens bolt on hooks. Two hooks are nice when carrying stuff with the bucket. And can use the blade for little tasks when you don't want to take something else off the 3-point.

An old man was sitting on his front porch watching the sun rise. He sees the neighbor's kid walk by carrying something big under his arm. He yells out “Hey boy, whatcha got there?” Boy yells back “Roll of chicken wire.” Old man says “What you gonna do with that?” Boy says “Gonna catch some...

How much is too much weight?

You may be able get the pallets off the trailer using the curl vs lift. I have used curl for slight lift to get pallet off a truck that by BX could not directly lift. Big concern is those pallets are almost 50% over the rated load of the forks.
