I like this! I have some 4" channel iron I think I can use to do the same thing. I'll mount some D-rings on the bottom side to add some strength and provide for ropes/straps etc. Thanks for the idea! :)

Do you want shoes because you don't want to dig into soft ground when moving snow? Just take a piece of 2" PVC pipe and cut it lengthwise, slip it over the cutting edge and you will be all set for a while...don't use it on pavement or much below 32degrees. I do this with my FEL.

I bought chains for my BX25D at my local dealer. I have Brotek 2" wheel spacers, and 55lb wheel weights, along with another 50lb on the rear blade, and another 40lb bolted to the frame. Works real good! :)

I have quotes from two dealers for $375 and $379 - I think they are trying to rip you off. Go somewhere else like Barlow Equipment.
