So I have L3430 I bought used, it has a subframe mount Woods backhoe on it now. I have a large amount of grading to do, so want to buy a box scraper and a top-n-tilt kit. When I bought it, it already had the valve for the top-n-tilt (see pic) so I jsut need the hydraulic rams and hose kit...

So got it figured out. Tested the fuse block (the one by the radiator), no power. Followed the wires out of it, and found a black plastic connector not connected to anything, then noticed a metal tank attached to the battery terminal... Re-attached, and powered right up. Doh! Glad it was...

BTW, I hate electrical problems. Ready to start pounding my head against a wall.

Theres a HST switch? Or do you mean the pedal? I didnt touch the PTO switch, the seat switch, I can normally start the tractor and get out of the seat, or turn the key and at least see the display on the dash... As it is now, I turn the key and absolutely nothing happens...

So was running my new to me L3430 HST, on the backhoe, hopped on the seat to reposition the tractor, go to move and tractor completely dies. No power at all, turn the key off and on, no dash lights, almost like somebody pulled the battery out of it, no cranking, no nothing. Tested all the...

I switched hoses and the valve stack. works great...

So late, but a update. Ended up picking up a L3430.... HST with a Woods 1016 loader, 4 in 1 bucket, Woods BH9000 hoe with a 12" and 18" buckets, top-n-tilt kit and a set of forks for $12k. 3400 hours on it, tires are in decent shape, guy had all service invoices and just had a new HST put in by...

So been looking at tractors for a while, and rented a few to get some of the big projects done (mini ex and a Cat D4K dozer), but finally found a little Kubota for ranch maintenance and do some more little clearing project around the property. Anyways, found a L3430 HST with a Woods 1016 loader...

A L3430 HST jsut popped up on Craigslist. About 3 hours from me as well. 4-in-1 bucket, top-n-tilt kit for the 3pt, and a Woods Groundbreaker 9000 backhoe on it, its got some high hours on it though (3,500). The guys is asking $13,500..... How long do these things live (hour wise)?

I am actually going to go look at a L225DT this weekend. Just so I know in my mind before I get out there, how does this tractor compare in size to a newer L3200?

There is a 1978 kubota L225DT with loader and backhoe, diesel 24 hp engine with 1481 hours on it for sale about 3 hours from me. The guy is asking $8,500. Looking for a little compact tractor, was originally looking at getting a new Kioti DS3510 with FEL and hoe, but that would be around $25k...
