Yes.....the sight glass in the hydraulic fluid that's located in the rear end. Can it be re-sealed? Does it require replacement? Is this something easy to replace? Thanks for the help!

From what I've read, apparently this is not an unusual problem. Does anyone know how to repair/replace the sight glass, or how to deal with this problem? Thanks in advance!

When all is said and done, yes ChannelLock is tops, but this is what took that filter off. Sears Craftsman Universal Oil Filter Wrench. Use your 3/8 inch square driver ratchet or your 3/4 inch wrench to turn the oil filter wrench effortlessly.

Thanks.....I have the 'standard' metal wrench that's always seemed to work in the past on my other vehicles. I'm going out today and get both the 'strap' and the metal chain wrench at Sears. Might have to use a small length of pipe for leverage.

On my L4310 with just over 2000 hours, I changed the transmission fluid today. Everything went fine, except the left side (suction?) filter will not loosen up. Both the new and old filters have little notches at the end that screws in. The old filter is so tight, and I've tried everything...

Does my L4310 have a filter suction screen, and if so, where in heavens name is it located? The manual leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to graphics. Thanks for the help.
