    4060 snow blower cylinder

Lots of folks just install a 12 volt linear actuator motor as I did. Total cost was under $100. "Hay Bob you beat me"

    How do I approach this

No it does not require any tools to remove. It is held in by the lower pin of the upper link. I adjust the upper nuts to take vertical weight off of the PTO. If I am using my backhoe I do remove the bracket from the pump and install it on the B/H pump. If you remember I gave my BH77 its own PTO...

    How do I approach this

I run my 3 point splitter with a 11 gpm pump as shown. The cylinder on the splitter is 4". This combination gives me very adequate speed but wish they made these pumps in a two stage version to speed up the return. Mine is a vertical splitter since a lot of my logs are quite large in diameter...

    Time for a compressor.

I have a 5hp 3 cylinder in a smaller shop that I use to paint cars and machinery in as well as blowing water out of our irrigation lines in the fall. In a larger shop I have a portable 2 hp used for air tools etc. A third smaller compressor is used primarily for brad nailers. As previously...

    L3301 HST BATTERY

When I am looking for a battery I just call a local battery supply with dimensions, location of terminals and cranking amps. Maybe you can Google the group 25 specs.

    Loader Supports

When I attempted to remove the loader last year the supports started to twist sideways resulting in the loader arm getting up against the hood. I gingerly moved the tractor about four feet so that I could attach a chain fall to the loader and safely remove it. Unfortunately I have a concrete...

How To Increase Mower Ground Speed TG1860

The only way I can see is to increase the diameter of the rear tires making sure you still have fender clearance. You would then have to somehow re-level the mower deck. Personally I would sell it and purchase a zero turn for faster speed.

Help Me Pick Out A Model... 3.5 acres 400' driveway

I had a b7200hst that I used for loader and bh work as well as cutting 3-5 acres. Taking the mower off and on was a pita. Best thing I did was get a zero turn for cutting grass. Bought my lx2610 without a mmm. I would certainly recommend a B series for your application. I bought the lx for the...

What to do with ‘yard’ waste?

We are allowed to burn piles of brush about 20' x 20' x 6'. I probably do about 10 of these every year as I clear brush along my 4000' driveway as well as other areas. I obtain a burn permit every year which stipulates all requirements. I abstain from burning due to wind direction or if dry...

Made up new loader supports after experiencing issues while removing the loader last year.

New or Used, would love advice

I purchased my tractor new with a cab after considering an aftermarket Curtis cab that I would be able to remove the doors and rear window in the summer. After getting the tractor with the cab I am very happy with it. Nice to be able to do comfortable tractor work in on hot days or snow blowing...

    Hydraulic Top Link Kit

Have considered getting a hydraulic top link and thought that I should be able to reach the control through the rear cab window and hook up the implement at the same time. If not I would make up a double female hose and connect it to the cylinder first so that it could be moved by hand prior to...

    Leaf Vacuum on a BX

A leaf vacuum is one labour saving device that I would not do without. Below is a picture of a vacuum I built years ago soon after I got the B7200. Shown without the MMM. We would previously take two weeks holiday every fall to clean up the yard. Box would get so heavy with compacted leaves that...

rebuild or replace hydraulic cylinders on B8200

On my old B7200 I just removed them and took to a hydraulic shop for re-build. Replacement cylinders were not available. Was a KW loader with different cylinder ends.

    Ready for Winter

Great job! Always nice to see freshened up equipment. I don't put on my blower until the first snowfall that I cannot drive through with with my 4 x 4. Last year was the first year that I had a good hard base that I was able to use my rear blade to fine tune it in the forward position. I week...

PTO drive for a Miller Bobcat welder?

I think you have the pulleys reversed. You would want the 18" on the PTO and the 3" one on the generator. I certainly would not go this route and agree that the Onan should be rebuilt or another engine sourced.

    B7200 easier steering

My original B7200hst that I installed oem power steering on three years after purchase in around 1988 operated just fine. In fact it steered and handled just as well as my new LX2610 during loader work. The steering kit on the B7200 probably saved the steering box as it still had minimal play...

    Windows 10 Alternative

My old computer (upgraded to windows 10 when 10 came out) I built myself from components about 12 years ago. I put one of the first solid state drives in it that I ordered from a supplier in Oregon at the time. That drive is just about full with every upgrade from Microsoft using up more space...

    Stabil wins, hands down.

I recently started to use ethanol shield in all my small engines since ethanol free fuel is no longer available in my area. I used Stabil up to that point. Where possible I run everything out of fuel. Have had to install shut off valves on some engines. Including four chainsaws I have at least...
