I've had a Davis Vantage Pro2 with the extra sensors for a dozen years. I've had to replace the wind vane twice. It did not survive hail. Works well. My only complaint is with the rain gauge. It can get plugged with pollen and leaves too. The software is dated. I am having problems after an OS...

    HVAC help......ughhhh

Yes with HVAC because many brands use the same parts. Today's iteration of all brands will die in 10-12 years. At least that is what our HVAC guy tells us. He's a straight shooter.

    Concealed Carry Gun?

I carry a Sig p365 most of the time. Sometimes in the winter I'll carry a P229 or a p220. In the summer, with gym shorts, I carry the P238 I bought for my wife, in a thunderwear  holster.

How to store a Post Hole Digger

How were you able to get the second mortgage for all that lumber?:D I did something similar but just wrap a chain around the top post and the PHD. It mades it easy to cantilever it to mount. The wood eventually rotted. Now I just hang it fro a tree branch.

    Friend Wants to Trade....

My condolences on the loss of your husband, I’ll be more direct-the person offering the trade is not a friend. He is taking advantage of the situation. Keep the L5030. It is a better machine all around. Add the quick attach if needed.

    Hydraulic leak on GR2120 transmission

I did have the tool. Whether I used it properly, we'll see... First objective to to figure out where the leak is coming from. It may be a winter job. Right now I am using the mower every week. I just check the oil before each use. I add about 4-6 oz every other use. I have the bagger for this...

    Hydraulic leak on GR2120 transmission

I did not know this. Thank you. I am contemplating redoing the transmission on my GR2100 for the fourth time. My wife calls it my zipper mower because of how quickly I can take it apart. It was fine for a while but has started leaking again. I am off next week. I plan to take the body shell off...

post hole digger recommendation for 3-point

I had a Leinbach PHD that I killed Ironically, I dug hundreds of post holes in MA in sandy but very rocky soil with no issues. In AL clay, I cork-screwed it into the ground on my 15th hole. It lifted the front of the tractor off the ground and added 30 degrees more bend to the boom pole...

How to replace pto seal on L35

if the L35 hydaulic oil level site glass is near there, check that. I never needed to replace the pto seal. It was the rubber grommet of the site glass leaking. That was also an easy replacement.

    FDR 1660

I had a similar issue. Cause was the tension pulley. The pulley itself spun freely. The bar it mounted on was stuck. There was a bunch of crud between the bar and the deck. I took it sll apart, cleaned thoroughly, lubed, and reassembled. I've had no problems since.

my EV crystal ball was right, again

EVs aren't for me. It doesn't bother me that others use them. Just don't force it on me. And, don't make me pay for yours. I do think EVs are a fad. They will be replaced by technology that works for the consumer and for the environmental goals. For me, today, they are just a different CFL...
