    HYDRAULIC CONTROL VALVE, FEL 1630

I recently replaced my stock control valve with an aftermarket unit. The stock unit functioned, but leaked. I am thinking about rebuilding it and selling it. Is there a market for this OEM unit?

    750d injection pump fears

Here’s how I tackled my injection pump…. Laminated and studied a copy of the injection pump parts schematic before hand. I snapped lots of before, during and after photos. I counted the number of threads needed to remove everything related to the pump assembly. Thoroughly cleaned the area...

    750d injection pump fears

I agree, it’s not just “let's take it apart and toss it backtogether kinda of thing”. That would be foolish. As I said, I was extremely anal about the process. I don’t have the equipment to accurately measure the flow rates, but a pre and post fountain test shows vast improvements. Before...

    750d injection pump fears

If my tractor was used to make $$, I would definitely let the pros handle. When I owned my business, I never touched any of the vehicles…they all went to the shop.

    750d injection pump fears

“It takes half your life before you discover life is a do-it-yourself project” a quote by Napoleon Hill. No offense intended, but why are so many fearful of taking a 750D injection pump apart? It’s not rocket science; understand your limitations. You need to be careful, meticulous, take...

    B7100D injection pump

$850 is for a rebuild with calibration, kinda worst case $$. I stopped the leaking by cleaning the parts in my ultrasonic cleaner and installing new gaskets and o rings. It fountains better now too. Before disassembly, each valve would discharge less than an inch high, now they squirt about 5...

    B7100D injection pump

Thank you for your reply and no offense taken. Every situation and the decision to DIY or let the pros handle it is different. In this case, I have the time, the tractor isn’t used for income purposes and having it function immediately isn’t necessary. I spoke to my local shop. They would...

    B7100D injection pump

Thank you for the reply. I found some great videos and the pump is working now. It wasn’t very difficult getting it to function. And you’re correct about other parts needing attention. I ordered a few parts that should arrive this weekend 🤞. I will let you know if I need to talk parts.

B7100D won’t run, puffs black exhaust, “backfire” thru intake…

Thank you for the reply. Sounds like I need to pull the head shim. Stupid mistake by me. I got in a hurry and looked at the WSM pictures and skipped the text. I tried to follow the EOIC valve adjustment method. When the exhaust is starting to open, set the intake. I think this exhaust...

B7100D won’t run, puffs black exhaust, “backfire” thru intake…

Thank you for the reply. I'll check the oil for fuel. Hopefully, what little amount of times I cranked it, it will be obvious. Aside from the injection pump, the valve train is the only assembly that I adjusted. Any comments on how I adjusted the valves? Or the missing head shim? I'm just...

B7100D won’t run, puffs black exhaust, “backfire” thru intake…

Thank you for your reply. You're right about "should be worked on by pump shops". But when shops don't answer the phone or respond, it's not an option. For what it's worth, I was very methodical when removing and replacing the injection pump assembly. I even torqued the barrels to the...

B7100D won’t run, puffs black exhaust, “backfire” thru intake…

Thank you for your reply. Yes, each valve had a shim and I reinstalled them exactly as I found them. I removed the new gasket. That appeared to help the fountain height. I also reinstalled them to the same torque as when I removed them. But it's certainly something I can adjust.
