I am pretty sure that is the problem; your clutch plate is not connecting to your flywheel properly.

You should check the Forward, Reverse, and system pressures at the clutch valve to see if the problem is the valve or inside the transmission.

I think that is only the 3.0L I-6 engine.

By adding your relay, you accomplished nothing more than making the original failing relay feed an unnecessary one. The original relay is under the top part of the dash on its RH side.
