    Gas prices

Politicians have little to do with this. They only think they can control oil pricing. Ask the oil company's CEO and stock holders. If you are invested in them please look inward. Willing to bet your retirement plans hold plenty of exxon/mobil.

    Past meets today

Long ago. Early K5 Chevy Blazer with a stick shift that looks like it came from a bus, roof rack filled with volunteer firefighter lights and enough antenna to land aircraft. Out steps a tall blonde with a mid-drift tied tee shirt , a mini skirt , and knee high laced Frye boots ! Almost 50 years...

    Thoughts about others

When in the field , ALWAYS talk to the back hoe operator. Always a wealth of information on what to expect at what depth.

    Safety Section

If I sell my 'oldie' orange to a young suburban person I may need to add a fast safety lesson. There are NO safety switches. Do something really stupid and this tractor will run you over and the mower will spit out a thousand pieces. Tractor will stop when it hits a big tree or steep ditch.

    Thoughts about others

That's okay. Those of us in the chemistry field looked down on ALL OF YOU anyways !!! Let the war begin, again. Have a great one

    What is the Farm Bureau

You talkin to me ? No, I've been around barns, farms, and machinery for years but never as a living. I would have to assume that I would be the farmer that lost granddad's farm. Better at chemistry than running a large dairy farm.

    What is the Farm Bureau

It is a large Advocacy group for farmers. They most likely own a few federal politicians in the wheat belt. They offer better insurance rates for farm acreage and equipment. A few other discounts that can be beat on the open market. You could call them a giant union or co-op for farmers but...

Ever run into bad house wiring?

Found a 1/2 inch bolt used as a fuse in a 30 amp breaker. Guess first owner did not want the breaker to trip. Had electrician put in a larger breaker box and added circuits to ease over loading.

    This Weather Event

Little orange tried it's best. Thin layer of sleet over a thick layer of ice. Float the blade and it skips over the ice. Down force on the blade to get to ice and then the front wheels start to understeer. Had to play with the hydraulics every second. Multiple passes and drive is good enough...

    An Alternative Home Power Source.

WFM, That said , yes I'm sick of wheeling mine outside and hooking it up. My Westinghouse 9.5K fits inside a plastic garbage can mini shed. 6 inch fan vented at the exhaust and a 12 inch passive vent on the opposite side. Lid down and doors open in the rain and no temperature issues. At...

    When is Enough Enough

Great Plan. Old man died at 40, uncle at 57 and gramps at 62. At 65 I have already beaten the odds , so every day is a good day. Told the docs that I have a few vices that I will never give up !! I'd like to see 100 but I will settle for tomorrow. Some regrets but that is living.

Anyone else get excited about snow?

Don't mind the snow. I hate this freeze/thaw cycle. It is like multiple mud seasons. Dog and kid prints on foyer and up the stairs. Drives the wife crazy. Float the plow and dig up gravel and mud. Lift the plow and fight ice a few days later. Give me cold hard driveway

Crossing the border is a privilege not a right.

Looks like the Canucks are pushing back

They have a bunch of choices. 1. Get vax'd 2. Cross the border and isolate 2 weeks. 3. Do not cross the border. 4. Get a new job. 5. Whine and stomp their feet.

Only Back wheels spin on 4WD kubota?

On dry level ground 2wd turns easier and sharper. 4WD on pavement is not good for the mechanics. I once thought I was changing the gearing but took mine out of 4 WD. I got one rear wheel spin and thought I was in deep trouble. Stepped on the locker and made two rear wheel trenches to solid...

Looks like the Canucks are pushing back

As far as I a concerned it just a bunch of Canadian truckers screwing the supply chain even more.
