It was just suggested that we may want to look at a B2650 instead of a B2601

Same here, my dealer also recommended against a block heater, claims it is more of a maintenance problem than it is worth. With a battery tender on I have had no issues this winter and we had plenty of below 0 f deg days.

    Lifting Question

It went off without a hitch today. I had the tractor set up with the rotary cutter on for ballast, kept it in 4wd and it was smooth. The truck pulled up and the driver brought the chipper to the back of the truck with his dolly on the wrong side so we decided to see if the tractor could lift it...

    Lifting Question

That's pretty much what I was thinking. Hopefully I don't need plan B, but it's not the end of the world if I need to go there. I did put the rotary cutter on today to give me the most ballast that I currently have. As a side note, this was the first time I engaged the cutter and found out...

    Lifting Question

Thanks for all of the replies, I believe I am going to play conservative and put the rotary cutter on for the most ballast. I have plenty of room to maneuver both in the driveway and in the barn. Besides, being new at all of this I can get some practice hooking things up to the 3-point.

    Lifting Question

Yes, that is one option, supposed to be in the teens tomorrow and I would like to avoid that if possible.

    Lifting Question

They are delivering in an 18 wheeler and cannot get any closer than the end of the driveway . I cleaned the snow yesterday so that's not an issue but I have alot of ruts and holes in the asphalt to deal with.

    Lifting Question

I'm looking for some advice on how to set up my tractor to move some material tomorrow. I have an LX2610 Cab model with loaded R14s and I currently have a RB1684 rear blade on it. I'm receiving a Woodland Mills WC-68 which the shipping company has listed at 825 lbs and will drop off at the end...

    Angle of the dangle

Now that I got your attention I have a serious question. Is there a rule of thumb for what side angle to not exceed to avoid tip overs? In the manual for my lx2610, it basically said that if you are not comfortable, don't do it. I seem to remember seeing someplace that 20 deg is the magic...

What do you ride, and whats the last thing you did to it?

Just sold my 2008 Goldwing last month. We've ridden it all up and down the East Coast from Maine to Key West. made it as far West as San Antonio. Great bike, just wasn't feeling as comfortable on it anymore so I figured it was a good way to finance more attachments (WC-68) should be deilvered...

Looking for some beginner tractor advice (B/LX + implements)

I did this swap last week for the 1st time. Reading the manuals every step of the way and taking my time the blower was off and teh fel back on in around 35 minutes. I'm sure it will get quicker with practice.

Thanks, I appreciate all of the comments/suggestions.

Removing FEL with a tooth bar on bucket

Thanks, those are the same instructions that I am working with. I will probably see how the tooth bar works this summer and see what my comfort level is for leaving it on when removing the FEL.

Removing FEL with a tooth bar on bucket

From what I was told when the tractor was delivered, I should have the bucket at about a 20 deg angle when setting on the ground to lift enough to release the pins. I'm new to all of this so that is the reason for asking. I also wondered if the bucket could be flat to the ground to start...

Removing FEL with a tooth bar on bucket

I have a heavy hitch tooth bar on order and am wondering if I can leave it on the bucket when I take the FEL off to install the snowblower in the fall. Not sure if the tooth bar can take the stress of lifting the front end to release the pins.

    Stump Bucket

I wound up ordering the GWT stump bucket, it should be here in 6-8 weeks. Just in time for spring.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Took of the snowblower and installed the fel. The thought of doing it was more intimidating than actually doing it. Then I got some practice with the buckt moving piles of snow around, especially the high one at the end of the driveway. Made it a lot safer to pull out onto the road.

    LX2610 online WSM

Good idea, I hadn't thought about that. I was able to find one of those easily.

    LX2610 online WSM

Being new to tractors, when I bought my LX2610 I didn't think to ask the dealer for a WSM. I've looked online at kubota books and other places and have not found one out there. Anyone know if there is one available on the free sites yet?

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Just finished up clearing out from the storm. The snow was really heavy. Had to unclog the chute 6 times and stalled out twice while blowing. I was going slow and at full throttle, but man what a workout. I wound up using the rear blade quite a bit to help with the heavier stuff.
