    FWIW steering line failure.

The failure sounds like a classic case of a botched manufacturing process. Refusal to warrant the repair is a classic case of a faithless OEM. Dan

LA302 Lost Bucket Roll Back Function

Checking the flow at both hoses will tell you all of that and more. Dan

    FWIW steering line failure.

The line failure was most likely a defect in material and/or workmanship. At 3 years old I would have been lobbying for warranty coverage..... Dan

    switching out a 1978 L295DT for a 2018 L3901 4WD pros and cons?

I recently did a similar swap from B7200DT to L3901H. Life got a whole lot easier and I am kicking myself for waiting so long to upgrade. Still have the B7200 but if someone made me an offer it would be gone. Dan

    FWIW steering line failure.

Welcome to the real world. Dealer only parts are (overly) expensive and their labor rates are through the roof. I am surprised at the shipping costs. That over size charge is normal for a retail customer but I would think a dealer gets far better rates. Fact of life be it cars, trucks, home...

LA302 Lost Bucket Roll Back Function

Stop swapping things around. You are just adding to the confusion and risk getting things misconnected. You have lost one function - curl. Stick to just that circuit. You told is this was a spontaneous failure while operating so I am ruling out misconnections. Let's test borh halves of the curl...

Anyone try these (BX tractor upgrade)?

You can buy larger bore cylinders for half that. To get the added height you need a little longer stroke which increased the retracted length. My B7200 had no problem with the longer cylinders I put on it but I cant comment on a BX. Bottom line is with increased bore and stroke you can put...

LA302 Lost Bucket Roll Back Function

I looked at the parts diagram and the return line is all hard connections so it's not likely to be the return line. Remove and reconnect the bucket couplers. Dan

    Kubota silicone

Ahem. I have known a few women that would make me question that assessment..... Dan

LA302 Lost Bucket Roll Back Function

If dump still works but curl does not I would suspect the tank return connection. Dan

    L3000F

Pick up a workshop manual and look at the wiring diagram. Somebody thought there was a need for a dual element lamp. Dan

    L3000F

Typical behavior. Tractors have tail/running lights not brake lights. One of those elements is probably used by the safety fasher as well. Dan

Hydraulic 3 point upper link ?

TnT or not - rear remotes on a tractor are wonderful additions and you've I'll find other uses for them. Dan

Hydraulic 3 point upper link ?

Stop it - you are killing me :p I will add that Kubota did not take the "cheap-cuts" on the L4701 that they did on its smaller brethren. I would have done same as you and paid for dealer installed factory remotes if I could have got the "good stuff". Dan

Knowing what you know now, would you buy the same tractor again?

Tough call. My l3901 is almost 3 years old and replaced an aging B7200. Which zi still have. The L3901 is a lot more tractor, much more capable, and has been flawless. But I moved pretty fast deciding on a Standard L over a Grand L and failed to get a real understanding of the "cheap-cuts"...

    BH77 Boom to Dipper Pin

The cause is likely lack of lubrication and the bolt is gone because it was sheared off And yes you need to fix it before it causes damage. Drive it out, fix any problems with the zerk and drilled passages, and reinstall or replace as appropriate. Lube well and prosper. Dan

    Bucket Level Indicator?

It is a Kubota whole goods option (L2130, $90) you can buy for your LA525 loader. It's nothing more than a metal rod affixed to the rod end on the bucket cylinder. Item #10/20 in this parts diagram. IMO a handy little item especially when using pallet forks. Or fab your own Dan

Hydraulic 3 point upper link ?

Adding a DIY valve and outlets to your tractor is not expensive and it's not rocket science. Sourcing a hydraulic top link the correct size for a small tractor like yours is the harder part. Dan

Considering a B2601 for around the house.

I have an old B7200DT and I liked to describe it as my "garden tractor on steroids". The one thing it won't do well is plow. Otherwise I think you have it pretty well pegged. Dan
