    Reviving a G1900

I have to take my deck off and clean it out better. Sadly that 60" deck weighs nearly as much as the entire tractor this Kubota 2160 replaced :D So, it takes 2 people. I really wish I could get my hands on a 48" deck

    Reviving a G1900

Exactly. I rarely do any work at night and the street in front of my house is not travelled much as it's only about 800' or so long. But when I do work around dusk I use those lights Fo Sho! I still have to hook up the illumination to my oil pressure gauge and I want a smaller tach and also want...

    Reviving a G1900

Amazing craftsmanship. And I thought I'd gone over the top with the lighting mods I did on my G2160 retrofitting very bright LED driving lights inside the stock housings and lenses, and removing the rear reflectors, finding truck running lights that nearly matched the reflectors then adding in...

    Tractor under water

I did this years ago with a car I had that got T-Boned while my youngest daughter was driving (guy ran a stop sign). Had the car brought home, adjuster looked at it and said "totaled". The insurance contacted me and explained how much they'd give me. I asked how much for me to buy it back...

    Kubota G1900 fuel filters

I'd think so. Have the plastic ones on my G2160

G5200 (D600) drain cock valve thread pitch

So if the drain cock is NPT threads on this I'll assume same for the D728 in my G2160? And if so any possibility temp sending unit is NPT?

GR2110 Alternating voltages wont start Very confused ! LOL Totally lost at this point ANyone have any ideas ?

Don't even bother doing further troubleshooting until you have the battery issue resolved. Start with the basics (the source) and work your way to the problem not backward from the problem

    Reviving a G1900

I would think the reluctance of the flywheel teeth going by should generate plenty of signal. If you think about it on FI vehicles where engine speed is important to be sensed for various operations that type of signal is all they use. No magnet glued anywhere

    Reviving a G1900

I literally was just not paying attention when I bought it. I'm actually pretty well versed in metrics (actually prefer it to our US system or Imperial). I honestly wish we'd simply just drop the whole Imperial system here in the US and go over to metric. As the constant mix of the two drives me...

    Reviving a G1900

Sadly no. Actually I did not have to solder it. I simply took advantage of where the field coils (stator) hooks up with little lug connectors so I simply soldered one on and when I found my square wave I put the lead there. I didn't think at the time to document it all with photos. Now I wish I...

    10 volts is insufficient

Fix for my G1800 with intermittent starter click but wont crank issue, probably applies to G1900 G2000 and others

Alternator was and is still charging perfectly. Other than I installed an Interstate battery from Costco (trust me they're junk but easy to get and cheap). First one I bought lasted not quite 3 years. They don't work well in cars either. But thing is I can buy one at Costco for $80 or buy one...

Fix for my G1800 with intermittent starter click but wont crank issue, probably applies to G1900 G2000 and others

Short of a bad battery, bad ground somewhere, bad safety switch, or bad ign switch you will want to add in a helper relay in the starter circuit. I chased my tail all over my G2160 and finally had enough. Installed a helper relay over 3 years ago and hasn't skipped a beat

New owner of L175...smokes terribly bad...

Well I am glad that had a good outcome and looks like you got the bargain you'd hoped for

New owner of L175...smokes terribly bad...

Definitely start with compression test. They will be quite revealing. Though a hanging valve will definitely affect that as well as a worn engine.

    Alternator substitute

I've been using this company's electrical parts for quite a few years. (actually about 15) and have found them to be extremely high quality at very good pricing. So here is their Kubota version IDK if in Canada they cost more though Amazon.com: DB Electrical AND0217 Alternator Compatible...

New owner of L175...smokes terribly bad...

Depends on what type of smoke as well. It could be anything at this point. Excess fuel, bad oil burning, burning antifreeze. So you have to nail down what type of "smoke" you see

    Oil flush?

Kinda weird mine stays quite clear even when it's time for me to change it.
