    Portable gas cans

Never mind, my widdle bwain figgered it out after I posted that message, and then my idea was validated after seeing that video.

    Portable gas cans

Great idea! How do you reach the valve inside the gas can to get it lined up with the hole to pull it through, though?

    2013 hunting season kills.

Nice doe, Helomech, I think I got her twin 2 nights ago. Funny thing is that I stood up in my stand when she went behind some trees at 20 yards, and was just starting to draw my bow when she popped out into the shooting lane and instantly pegged me. She started acting pretty nervous, and...

    3-point height adjustment

The 3-point arms on my L275 seem to hang too close to the ground, and as a result they won't lift my tiller or bushhog as high as they should. It becomes a problem when maneuvering over rough ground as the implements want to drag at times, even though fully raised. Is there a relatively easy...

Pivot tires on a compact tractor

I DO need to match sizes front to back but my tractor calls for 11.2x24 which is common for pivots. Are those tires sized differently than standard tractor tires? Bandaidmd, a "pivot" is one of those huge irrigation units that you see used in certain parts of the country. They are self-driven...

Pivot tires on a compact tractor

I have noticed that it's easier to find pivot tires in 11.2x24 a lot cheaper than "tractor" tires in the same size. Would there be any problem doing so, as long as they have a standard V-shaped tread pattern and a high enough load rating? I know where I can get some for less than $160 each...

Weeping water pump on L series

My water pump is leaking from the weep hole on my tractor. It did not do so before it sat for 2 years (long story). Is there anything I can do to fix this myself without replacing the water pump?

    4x4 tire size question

Surely you meant to say 7.5x16? That should indeed put it within an inch or so.

14x5 rim (6 lug holes) for front tire - L185DT

SJP10, I have a pair of 16" L-series rims with tires (6x14 tires) that MAY be what you're looking for. Do you have a picture of yours?

L3800 4wd with Ag tires - Camber and toe in

Am I the only one here who would love to see pictures of his tractor since he says it has 11.2x24's on the front and 7x16's on the rear? :D

    4x4 tire size question

Due to having purchased a 4x4 donor tractor for parts, I am wanting to convert my L275 to an L275DT. The only problem is that the donor machine does not have good tires. Stock sizes are 11.2x24 - rear, 7x16 - front. I just happen to have a pair of decent 12.4x24's that I can mount but of...

Do you happen to have a picture of such a device? What would be the benefit of such rather than regular suitcase weights?

    L275, D1302-A engine timing problem

Yep, 30 seconds is about what mine wants, even in 70 degree weather. Seems a bit long to me, but maybe it's just the nature of the beast. I'm really considering a block heater for the coming winter since it'll probably be my main snow-moving machine, unless we get some really heavy stuff which...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

All I managed to do on the 'bota today was to fire it up to let 'er know she's still wanted.

    PTO won't disengage

Thanks for the advice, Stubby, but my PTO does disengage when I flip the PTO lever to the OFF position, it just won't disengage when I depress the clutch pedal. The PTO works fine if I engage the lever before starting the tractor (which obviously is neither a safe nor practical solution) and...

    PTO won't disengage

BTW, after the previous owner blew the engine, this tractor sat for a total of about 4 years before getting the engine transplant. Is it likely that the PTO clutch and pressure plate are stuck together? He left the tractor in the field for a year.

    PTO won't disengage

My L275 is finally up and running well, but my PTO won't disengage when the clutch pedal is depressed. I have the dual clutch option in this machine and when holding the pedal down it shifts gears with no problem but the PTO spins if engaged, regardless of how far I press the clutch pedal...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Not today, but yesterday I bought 2 more OEM Kubota 55 lb suitcase weights from scrap yard for $25 each, which finished filling out my front bracket nicely with 275 lbs hanging on it. Later I hooked up the flail mower and bush-hogged the 2-feet-high pasture, then mowed another spot to park the...

L275 DT, starting and RPM / hours counter

Did you steal my tractor? Oh, wait, yours is a DT, never mind! :D My L275 has the same exact starting symptom as yours; sounds like it's running on 2 cylinders, then the 3rd one finally kicks in. I'm suspecting that I have 1 bad glow plug but I've not yet gotten the gumption to tear it down...

    L275, D1302-A engine timing problem

Update: My replacement gasket finally arrived and this week I got it all put back together. After bleeding the fuel lines and glow-plugging it, she fired right up and runs like she should! Sure is nice to have it running properly, and I bush-hogged our pasture yesterday. The engine pulls like...
