    Home made ballast weight

I coated the insides with 1.5l of white tremclad but truck bed liner may have been a better option. The most time on this thing was the 3ph bracket so if it ever did rot out and I’m still using gravel those tanks arnt hard to find. I actually have another one kicking around. I’d also love to...

    Home made ballast weight

Well it’s 10 cubic feet of volume and I think cement is around the 150lbs per cubic foot so if it was full of cement it would be around the 1500lbs. Being that I used gravel I have no clue but it feels like more then 700lbs.

    Home made ballast weight

Ya I’m kinda thinking that it will rust no matter what and if that’s the case I’m still left with a good ballast block.

    Home made ballast weight

Thought I’d post a rear ballast I made for my 7060. Added some chain tubes to the inside and filled with gravel till I do a concrete job then I’ll fill it with that. Weight unknown???

Cheap way to add a blue tooth radio to a kubota cab tractor

I’m with Maine farmer on this on. If I didn’t have a radio already installed or needed to replace a 10 year old one no chance I’d pay a dealer for a cheap radio kit with a high price tag. Then again no way I’d put a cheap Amazon one in either. Bluetooth head units are pretty cheap pioneer...

    New Guy looking at m60/7060

M7060 is a great tractor cab or rops. I was also in the same boat not sure if cab was the way to go as I’m in the bush a lot with it but the height difference isn’t really that much cab vs rops. Cab was like 4 inches higher then rops if I remember correctly. Ive always owned geared tractors so...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Started clearing the snow for easier access the the bush for maple season. We have had way less snow then previous years. Usually I don’t bother trying to clear the trails. my season starts on snowmobile but this year the defender side by side will be able to access without needing tracks...

Question about installing a sub frame on my L3301 with a 4672A backhoe already mounted to the tractor

They sure do make em still. Work great as long as you understand the limits of your equipment. I’ll be in the same boat this spring as I’ll be shopping 3ph backhoe attachments also. Don’t plan on it being on the tractor unless in use. Most catastrophic issues I’ve seen or herd have been from...

Fatal collision Hwy 11 at Severn Bridge.

Wow that’s pretty harsh. I don’t think the tractor was removing snow or pushing it across hwy 11. Last time I checked plows do the snow work on hwy 11. Also find it hard to believe some noob tractor owner would be out on hwy11. Snow removal guys have to do it to get to certain roads and cottages...

Do you have a rear windshield wiper on your tractors cab?

A must for me as I use a rear blowing. Had a manual one on my old Ford for many years and it worked to get the job done. I eventually put an electric one off Amazon and it worked pretty well with a bit of modifications also. My 7060 cab has the defrost windows plus electric wipers and washer. No...

    Stabilizing When There's No Implement

I used a draw bar for this reason on the old Ford plus adding a few trailer balls to move trailers around.

    Thinking about pallet forks……

I’d stay away from the clamp on type unless your only going to use them once or twice a year and even then I’d maybe save up for a proper setup. a few months ago my buddy brought me his clamp on style (brand unknown) to fix as they had broken welds and the clamp parts were bending on him. I...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I did several years without a cab and obviously comfort level is way better but visibility is not always better with the cab. What I have noticed with getting a heated cab is we now get less snowfalls. Go figure lol

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Same in my area. Just starting to get enough to make it worth getting the blower going. Got about 12 inches of fresh powder. Love blowing that stuff lol

2006 L2800 4wd Std always started 1st try, then third try, now won't start

You mentioned it started with a battery change but not if you had check or tested the battery. Maybe a bad battery. Shows 12v till you put a load on it. I’d start with that if you haven’t already.

Pressure testing it is the first thing that comes to my mind. Pulling the fan belt is also a great suggestion

    Windshield washer fluid

I think your thinking of plumbing antifreeze. And pretty hard to mix up I think. I’ve never herd of WW fluid being used in or for an RV water systems. If your anyplace near cold weather just run the minus weather stuff year round. It will still work in the summer. Contrary to it sawing for...

When the wind decides to turn a barn into a chicken coop!

Glad nobody was hurt during that. I’m with the cow fart comment. Not knocking the op but that sure doesn’t look very well built. So many things wrong with it I won’t even list them. I have a steel barn and also think they are great but even a properly built framed or post building like you...

    New Guy

Myself and I’m sure 80% if not more of you reading this have lots of tools kicking around that are hardly use if ever. Id rather have and not need them need and not have. Id keep it like I said if I didn’t need the space or money. I don’t think at this point it’s going to lose much value...
