I have found that the best battery bang for the buck is the Walmart "Everstart Maxx". They do not sell the "Maxx" in all sizes though. I got stiffed by Interstate while traveling in Canada, and will never buy another Interstate! Interstate is all about advertising hype.

With such low hours it would be difficult to make a good comparison. Does seem like $10K might be just a bit on the high side though. If you are genuinely interested, why not offer her $8.5K and see what happens.

A used BH will likely be almost as difficult to find as hen's teeth. Most who have a BH of any size or shape would never sell it, if they still own the tractor that it fits.

In my opinion, in many situations, paint is better than powder coating. High quality powder coating is great, but much powder coating is not high quality.

Any rubber mat on a tractor floor/deck, spells .... actual, or impending RUST!

If you leave the machine outside, you will definitely have a problem! If it is already rusty, clean as much off as possible, thoroughly prep the deck rust spots with OSPHO, then paint, and coat the deck with Herculiner. Throw the damx rubber mat away!

In my opinion, the Walmart Everstart Max batteries are the best bang for the buck. The "Max" is apparently not available in all sizes.
