    Small Business Start-up.

Start small. Get the legal aspects worked out and grow from there. Running out and buying $ 300,000, or a million dollars of equipment, and hope the work shows up, is not the way to go. Buy the equipment as the jobs are won and the equipment as needed. Sub it out until then. We want to buy...

    L4701 vs MX5400

If there's anything I can say about Kubota marketing, it's this; They have developed a market with hobby farmers and ranchers and property owners with luxurious, yet capable 'toys' that perform. I'm personally amazed at their product lines. Back in the late 70's they built very small but heavy...

Considering a True Trac in F250 Front Axle.

So, I'm coming close to 30,000 miles on my "old school" 2017 Ford F250 SuperDuty XL. It's about time to change the fluids in my transfer case and axles. I've been considering installing an Eaton TrueTrac in my front Dana Super 60 axle. I've installed and used them for years on my Jeeps with...

    L4701 vs MX5400

I see from your equipment list you've got some experience with the MX 6000. Any pointers you might have would be golden. I've heard tales where if you upgrade the glass, seat, etc, you can keep the original seat, glass, etc. And I've also heard the opposite. I'm in Wisconsin, a couple states...

    L4701 vs MX5400

Hellava lot more money than I originally planned! And that is without a backhoe. But my wife will love that cab, and I'm going to love the lift capacity and weight of the machine. I don't think that I'll ever be wanting anything bigger... But ya know how that goes. I'd love to just buy an...

    L4701 vs MX5400

I'll be ordering it sometime between February and April. I'm gathering the down payment, as it is far more expensive than a high B or LX as I originally intended. I'll be ordering the MX6000 cab, all the cab add ons. Air seat, 3rd function up front, 3 remotes in back with float on 1. FEL...

    L4701 vs MX5400

Well, after indepth time on Kubota's website, researching and reading online, and YouTube videos... I'll be ordering an MX6000 Cab. The L4700 fell out of contention due to my needs. I didn't want to be in regression because I didn't buy enough tractor. Conversly; The M7060 was a very serious...

    L series Backhoe worth getting?

I want a backhoe to the point that; Instead of ordering an MX5400 / MX6000 cab in a few months for my property, I'm thinking I'll order an M62 TLB and a Curtis cab. I like the commercial strength of it, and the lift capacities are very serious, indeed. I'll remove the BH and install a rear...

    L series Backhoe worth getting?

Well, I'll shamelessly chime in here. I don't need a backhoe, but I really Want one. Whether or not it's worth it; Depends on your wants, needs, and ability to afford one. I have back issues from a motorcycle crash in 2015. And I'm coming up on 60 years old. Personally, I never want to...

    L4701 vs MX5400

The local dealer I'm working with installs block heaters on every new tractor to my knowledge. I got a hard quote today with what they have 'In Stock' It's an MX5400, w/o a cab or the top n tilt. I personally saw the tractor. Rear remotes are already installed. Adding 3rd function, 6' box...

Got it. Thanks. I could have used that a few years ago on a grading project. Beats turning the top threaded shaft by hand. Gotta get that too.

    L4701 vs MX5400

I plan to do the same on MX5400. What is top n tilt? And how difficult is it to remove the cab? I' m mechanically savvy so that's not an issue. But do you have to remove AC or fluid lines for the heater? I'll have a high ceiling shop and a winch to lift it.

    L4701 vs MX5400

Excellent post. You changed all my plans. Looks like I'll go MX 5400 with a cab. Now to get to ordering it and wait. My wife says get everything you want and do it once. Good advice.

    L4701 vs MX5400

Thank you. I am in contact with DNR and plan to consult with them as necessary. Which, respectfully, doesn't help my tractor with implement purchase regarding what I should include. I think a rotary cutter is a must. A flail mower is my preference over a rotary though. Not to take my post...

Thanks. That's excellent. Put an essential saw blade on my Stihl string trimmer. I plan to do that for areas I can't drive a tractor into. I find it hard to believe that there isn't a tractor implement made for clearing out 1" or less saplings.

I do want to consult my forestry guy because I want the best thing for the forest. I'm not a tree hugger, but want the best for the property and forest. I think getting rid of the small stuff will help the bigger trees. But I honestly don't know. I'm learning. You guys are helping. Thank you.
