Kubota B7100HST-D adding lower radiator hose engine heater **UPDATE

Just curious! Is there a thermostat bypass on these tractors? Otherwise, how does the water circulate through the engine if the thermostat is closed as it is when cold. Can't remember what the thermostat looks like. Does the heater generate enough heat that it opens the thermostat? For the...

    Snow chains…do I need them?

I have R14s on my LX2610 and have cleared my 4000-foot driveway a couple of times in the last couple of years since I got it. I find them far better than my last B7200 that had turf tires. Both with a front blower. The B7200 was frequently sliding sideways at the edge of the driveway which I do...

    Matching Kubota orange paint.

Dealers up here want $50 for a spray can of paint. OP did not say whether it is the old or new Kubota orange, but I just take a small painted part from my tractor to a local automotive paint supplier where they will scan it. They then mix it up and put in a spray can. The last one I got (gray)...

    Furniture dollies?

I have dollys for all my attachments other than the loader and backhoe which I have a dedicated location for. I had dollys for them on my b7200 so I will probably do the same.

    B7200 ROPS

Looking good! Power steering makes all the difference. Fortunately I bought the oem kit shortly after purchasing the tractor when it was still available.

    B7200 3-point-hitch specs

I would use the Tractor-data ratings. The Woods 650 that was on mine weighed close to 800 pounds and the 3ph could easily lift it to install on my frame.

Ýou are not that far away. BH is a Woods 650.

    B7200 ROPS

Four more, approximately where do you live? If not far away you can see the tractor yourself as it is still local to me.

    B7200 ROPS

I built the subframe a couple of years after I purchased the tractor new. I installed oem power steering at the same time. This frame also brought the hoe six inches closer to the tractor than the 3ph did. The frame is a full box frame which fully "clamp's" the tractor together and reinforces...

    B7200 ROPS

Back in probably the late 1980's I enquired about the availability of oem rops and was told that they were not available in Canada. I ended up making my own including seat belts. I think I had about $100 in steel and an evening's work into it.

    R-4 and R-14 tractor tires

I had turf tires on my B7200 and ordered R14 tires for my LX2610. They are far better than the turfs were especially when blowing snow. As previously stated all depends on application.

Educate me on how to pick a grapple

I I have had no issues with it. Tines are properly gusseted and have even picked up heavy bolders.

Educate me on how to pick a grapple

Love the grapple that I bought last year. Works great as a rake as well as picking up logs and brush. Kioti model KG2054. $2200 Canadian loonies up here. Considerably less than any other grapples that I looked at yet built very sturdy.

I think I've made my retirement decision....

Congratulations on your retirement! It won't be long and you will be wondering how you ever found the time to go to work. I have been retired 20 years this month and my working days are like a distant dream.

    Backhoe subframe lx2620

If it is similar to the LX2610 the rear mounting of the frame to the tractor is probably different between open station and cab model due to the cabs lower structure. Backhoe is also moved rearward another 9 inches with extenders mounted to the backhoe.

    Do you need a truck?

I have been frequently asked over the years why I have never owned a pickup truck considering all the work I do. I prefer to have a V8 powered SUV to haul my 7000 lb. tandem trailer with. A lot easier to park or maneuver in tight spaces when not hauling. The vast majority of the building...
