    Box Scraper question

Where/How do those clips fit in there? They're not visible in the 2nd photo of the assembly. My BB1560 has through-pins with lock clips. A different animal.

    Removing BH92 Backhoe

With the boom pointing straight back, dipper and bucket curled, lower the boom until the bucket contacts the ground/floor. Lower both stabilizers until they're about 8" from the floor. Now gently press the boom control lever forward to further press the boom down until you see the backhoe frame...

Small Farm Innovation PTO Hook Up

Painting it white means you're not in country that deals with tractors and SNOW. Blaze orange is the best.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

"Manitoba Maples" around our yard and 5 spigots with pails from ebay. Have been making some for nearly 10 years now.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I let my 5 Manitoba maple tap buckets hang through the snowstorm. Dump the snow out tomorrow, and the week forecast looks good for flow. Had a couple of productive days so far, anyway. Fresh box elder syrup on the morning yogurt is the best!

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Actually the scene and lighting with the .5 wide angle setting on my phone did impress me at the time! A keeper, for sure.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Getting a 10"+ dump here in SE MB last night and today. We really need the moisture, but I didn't really need the aggravation of removing the loader and hooking up that blower unit and subframe. So today I'll crawl around under the 'bota in the shelter while this storm tapers off and get the...

    leaking hydraulic cylinder

My B2782B snowblower lift cylinder began leaking and could not hold position under load anymore, so looked into taking it apart so I ordered the Kubota rebuild kit. The part number I believe is stamped into the cylinder somewhere. I could look the info up if needed, both the cyl and rebuild kit...

    LX2610 block heater location

It may be a bit colder here yet in S Manitoba than N Idaho and I also rarely need the block heater. A few times at least I've forgotten to plug it in when -20C even colder, yet tried and it ain't pretty but a good long glow and she coughed to life. I attribute at least some of its ability to...

    B2650 Hydro Noise

Others here know hydraulics and their controls way better than me, but what I'm hearing is: - the whine occurs when operating the loader, no HST in use - it only happens once the hydraulics are at operating temperature, i.e. normal working hot. then my initial focus would be the loader...

    B2650 Hydro Noise

Kubota SUDT2 (Premium UDT here in Canada), Kubota filters, maintain according to service schedule. This is what I do. The whine is still there, but lessened. And it purrs a bit quieter after a fresh change. The tractor still hauls ass pulling and doing other hydraulics work with that trans and...

    B2650 Hydro Noise

My experience is the whine decreased over the years. 1300hrs on mine, quietest it's been since new. And every hst fluid and filter change (using Premium UDT here in Canada) it's been quieter.

New kid in school, seeking advice.

My B2782B Snow Blower has an equivalent for the LX, about the same size at 63", for a front mount anyway. Does great! I've kept 1000 ft driveways clear for neighbors, as well as our own 400 feet, parking area, and various trails.

New kid in school, seeking advice.

Some jobs a larger heavier costlier tractor could do in less time. Some jobs my compact tractor can't do. But for all the work that it's needed for here, it can handle, just maybe a bit slower than her bigger sister tractors. The main thing is to size the implements and attachments...

New kid in school, seeking advice.

I started my tractor journey with a hand-crank-the-flywheel start 2 cyl JD Model B with the compression relief valves. cha-chug, cha-chug cha-chug and close them, you're away. I worked with a Deutz air-cooled beast for a few years in there somewhere. Tinkered with a well worn late 40's Farmall...

Loss of Power in cold conditions

Were you clearing cold dusty snow with a front snow blower with snow and ice crystals billowing around the tractor front? Check inside the air filter housing for snow blockage. This happened to me the first winter with my blower. The filter was so packed full I could barely remove the filter to...

Chain Lubrication on LX2980 snow blower

I "cheat" the seat safety switch with a zip tie, as a tailbone condition means I need to mostly stand up while operating the tractor. So for the snowblower lube I stop and set park brakes and lower to idle with the blower engaged, then squirt some chain oil into the lube hole while it's...
