Kubota BX: An Awesome, Affordable Garden Tractor

Just as a reference point, in 1999 I payed $5990 for my Simplicity Legacy with a 48" deck. In 2024 dollars that is $11,343. Close to a Bx1880 price with a deck ($13,900 on the Kubota USA website)

Kubota BX: An Awesome, Affordable Garden Tractor

We talked about this topic when Messicks producted, "The Death of the Garden Tractor". The BX just took over for that segment of the market. I was a "dyed in the wool" fan of the garden tractor.... I loved my Simplicity Legacy...... When it died I bought my Kubota, and the rest is history...

    At What Point.

Switch Companies. I had a homeowners policy with a local agent. Was with them for 20 years. They raised my insurance rates 20% and I switched. Funny thing is it is underwritten by the same company. Car insurance is the same way. I switched over all my stuff. I got phone calls wanting me...

    German engineering

How many US training films underscored to not be afraid of things like the mg42. My American made Ruger has a Mauser action. I will say for full disclosure I am 40% German. My mom's dad side left in 1880 about the S.S. Abraham Lincoln to get away from the crazy Kaiser.

    German engineering

This is a testament to German engineering. 60 mph head-on off set crash with no air bags. I wish all cars where this good.

Bruno Sacco just passed away about three weeks ago. His designs pushed Mercedes to their best selling years. His designs of the w126 earned him several awards, one even as the w126 as art! Mercedes has never sold as many S Class cars then during the w126 years.

I had a 1987 420 SEL in light ivory. I could push that car into a corner and never, and I mean never, feel in trouble for doing so. If I could find one I would own one again.

Are Kioti tractors really a better value on paper compared to Kubota?

I love threads like this. It reminds me of the big round table of 14 at an old dinner in town. Each morning the local head of each big farm family sat down to breakfast, politics and tractors. No conversation, not money, religion or politics ever got as heated as which was the best tractor...

    German engineering

I personally love German engineering. My Mercedes W126 was the best riding car I ever owned. My German appliances haven't failed me yet. The same can be said about my Japanese engineered toys.

    Kubota dealer visit

I would love to, only problem is certain parts they tell me to go to messicks. The last order I got from messicks was paint. Both the quart and gallon cans were heavily dented in the box they came in.

    Kubota dealer visit

I have gone to two other dealerships..... The one I bought my tractor from, high sales volume and two techs. The second is an old time dealer. One salesman, 3 techs and 1 cashier. I had my tires put on here. Their word is their bond and I can always count on them. Lower sales volume but...

    Kubota dealer visit

So I stopped in yesterday to pick up some udt fluid for my b8200. Being the smart ass I am as I walked thru the door I exclaimed "So I want to buy a new tractor". 5 faces lit up with smiles and then I said, "I don't need a loader". 5 faces went back to their computers screens. After picking...

B8200 Statistical Analysis for Production Numbers

Update: Continued to find more tractors, not the same based on Serial Numbers. New percentages are as follows: 2wd Gear- 6 (21%) 2wd Hydro- 5 (14.8%) 4wd Gear- 2 (40%) 4wd Hydro- 8 (23.8%) The percentages are based on combining old data with the new data. Ya, my OCD is in full swing.
