Do the BX rear remotes (kits BX2419, BX7376...) have a float position?

On my 2370, it is only up and down, no float option was available that I am aware of. If you need float, you'll have to hold or tie that lever down.

How far do you road travel your BX?

3.3 miles to my dad's place. Flat, straight backroads all the way with lights and flashers on late morning after the school busses and morning traffic. If he would to be needed it again, I'd load it on the trailer! I plow a few elderly neighbors driveways, all are within a couple tenths of the...

B2601 fuel filter removal w/nearly full tank?

Gary, Not that familiar with the B series but purchased a B fuel filter assembly with intentions of replacing the in-line filter under my BX. Does yours have the inlet shut off valve? And, the return line you refer to, Is that connected to the 1/8” brass nipple on top of the housing? If so, I...

    BX23S Cab NO HEAT!!

Dusty On my fabricobbled BX 2370 cab, I have about 75% (10" sheetmetal) of the rad debris screen blocked for winter use. I tried 50% but the temp gauge would only read 1 bar. With the increase to 75% I get 2 bars on the gauge, same as summer use. I'll check coolant temps and heater discharge...

    BX24 winter cab build

Looking good so far. Regardless of the finish option you chose, throw some Kubota graphics on it so it'll look 'almost' factory!;)

    Dangers of an Oxygen Cylinder

I've used high pressure 8 gang acetylene manifolds in the past. regulator was downstream of the cylinder valves ahead of a flashback arrestor. Also, in the cylinder, acetylene is dissolved in acetone. The insides of those are filled with what looks like open cell foam. Withdraw rates from...

    Dangers of an Oxygen Cylinder

You might want to try and find an on-line copy or google copper acetylide to see if the copper alloys (brass, bronze or other non-ferrous alloys) are also dangerous. I have always run acetylene in black iron. Sorry I don't have a definite answer on the brass. Though I'm still in the welding...

    Dangers of an Oxygen Cylinder

Oxygen is the most dangerous compressed gas most of us will deal with! You should treat it with respect, and keep oil, grease and other flammables away. As for running acetylene in copper tubing, DON"T. Going from memory, check out NFPA 51 IIRC, it will form copper acetylide which is a high...

    Cab heaters preferably 12V ?

On the advice of Chim and a couple others here, I installed this heater in my BX cab. They really put out the heat. If I were to run it on ‘high’, I’d be shopping for a speedo! And, nobody wants to see that😜

    ROPS too tall

Don't forget liability! If something were to happen, god forbid, Kubota and their lawyers will wash their hands of any claim because of modifications to the safety device (ROPS). Regards

    BX24 winter cab build

The OPs rear angle appears to be attached similar to my cab. Angle iron rests on top of the ROPS nuts which result in about 1/32” clearance to the fender. Though I used tapered lug nuts at the front to gain a few more threads of engagement.

    BX snow removal suggestions.

No experience with a blower as our snowfalls haven’t warranted the expenditure. I used a rear blade with rubber edge on my BX for several years until I found a used BX2767 front blade. Now, I don’t bother turning around. Regards

    B7100D Cab

Mike, Before I built a cab for my BX, I reviewed the cab builds in the 'sticky' section and internet for 'DIY tractor cab'. Found a lot of good and bad ideas and a lot of good advice from members here on the forum. Here's a link to my build...
