That is a survey/monument well…the actual marker is under the lid. OP, there are rules regarding what gets set in the field. Check with the county and they will have recorded maps and various documents that will help you figure out what the monument represents. I owned a survey firm at one...

I knew about the ground strap… My text is not clear…I was asking if I should disconnect the alternator as well?

So, should I be disconnecting that if I weld on on the tractor? I have seen on various welding forums that the battery should be disconnected…never heard anything about the alt. I am certainly open to learning something here…

I know that I am not the only one that has welded various things on their tractor. My tractor is an 09’ and doesn’t have a bunch of electronic gizmos…never had any issues running that current thru the frame…

Hey now…I did weld them to the plate! I had welded them on the original bucket which was before I installed the quick attach plate. I found that in certain odd applications I may want to switch around the D rings so I did the bolt on plates for this one.

Heated gloves and heated boots are friggin’ AWESOME! I have used them both for skiing for many years and simply adopted the tech to work clothes and outdoor gear in general. Check out Hotronics insoles….best I have found…not cheap. Gloves…get any of those Amazon type for 30-50 bucks…they last...
