Mid mount or rear mount mower sure sounds like PTO to me. Be careful of assuming all belt drive equipment can be turned backwards. If it has a spring loaded belt tensioner like my Land Pride RFM and many others trying to turn the mower backwards will not work.

Keep in mind the reverse rotation of the B6000 power take off. You may have trouble finding attachments.

As long as you are not on tar running in 4 wheel drive will not hurt the tractor. Some will tell you that is wears the front gears and bearrings. While this may be true it certenly will not cause as much damage as a crash or roll-over from a runaway tractor on a steep hill.

Not very hard to change the brakes on a B7100. If I remember correctly. Remove rear wheel. unhook brake rod and spring. Remove brake housing. What I do remember is the shoes were quite expensive!
