    Electric grease gun

I grew up using air greasers feeding off a 15 gallon drum of grease at my folks business. In my own shop I always use air grease guns. Bought a battery Lincoln grease gun twenty plus years ago and use it out in the field. Its been a good gun zero issues with it. I too have moved over to...

MX6000 Water Separator Dash Light Question

I guess between fall harvest and field work I missed both of these threads about the separator light coming on the MX series of tractors. Never had mine come on the MX6000 I have. Did any one get a recall in the mail or was the TSB found because you were having a problem. I will call my selling...

    Suitcase weights & 1055 FEL

Of all the tractors I have owned over the years all but one you needed to take the suitcase weight mount off to put the loader on. Loader mount brackets went were the suitcase bracket went. I have a 2006 JD 7320 that has a factory suitcase weight mount that stays on the tractor when the loader...

Time to Replace the Long Landtrac 470.

I own a MX6000 and like the tractor but I think the three point might be a little light for the kind of work you want to do, When you mention bulldozer's and three point winches you may want to look at more of a construction grade tractor. I have seen many 100-150 HP farm tractors destroyed when...

    Darn mice are gnawing again

Around here you better make sure the mice didn't leave the freezer door a jar when they got the ice cream out to put on the pecan pie. I sure could use a piece my self right now.

Thinking about going from B2601 to L series

I didn't buy my MX6000 or my RTV-X100C from them but I did buy close to thirteen hundred dollars worth of accessories from them for the side by side. I put the order in on a Sunday night and by noon on Monday I had a tracking number and Wed morning the parts were here and I am several states...

Thinking about going from B2601 to L series

Back when I was shopping for a Kubota I thought I had a L4701 bought with a loader. Turns out another sales man sold the tractor. Long story short I couldn't get a deal done with that dealer ended up finding a new MX6000 in a crate at another dealer with a loader and bought it. I think in the...

I could really use this Buhler/Farm King 8ft hydraulic angle rear blade.

When I saw the link for the pins you bought I knew you were in for some fun. I have been down that road a few times and its no fun. Last couple times I just used cat two to cat three bushings cut to length on the cat 2 pins and called it a day. It will look nice when your done. My Rhino seven...

LX2610SU Third function comparison and advice.

I second this. Being this is a new tractor I would spend a little more and get the Kubota kit and do it my self to save the labor cost. If it was a used tractor I would look at a summit or a DIY kit. Which ever way you go use the flat face couplers.

    BX 23S Third-Function Question

I have never been around that model tractor but I would never accept that installation of that valve. The first muddy day on this farm and that valve would be finished. Its crazy someone thought that was a good way to mount a valve.

    3 pt scraper

Years ago I have seen those three point ones on many a dairy farm to scrape manure out of alley ways and loafing barns. Now days most are on the front of skid loaders. Have a buddy that uses one on his skid steer to push snow if its not too deep. He says it works perfect on rock drive ways. They...

    Bushhog in Reverse

After fall harvest is over I put 100-200 hours on the tractor and the 14 FT rotary cutter doing my final mowing of the season and I swear half of those hours are in reverse. I up graded that tractor a couple years ago from a JD 4440 to a JD 7320 FWA its very nice having the reverser now. Glad...

Cold weather OPEN station snow plowing/blowing.

One of the coolest times I remember on a open station tractor was when I was a kid pushing snow in my home town banks parking lot on a early Saturday morning with a 1946 JD model B tractor with a three point blade and the banks thermometer was reading -34 didn't have much wind that morning. Over...

I am lucky and Surplus center is only a fifteen minute drive for me, but I do keep a fair amount of hoses and fittings on hand. I have never had any issues with surplus center hoses or fittings. Weekends and holidays around my area can be a problem if you need a hose made. Parker is the closest...

    Stuck in the mud

Wife's are what I call Monday morning quarter backs. Always have the answers in the hind side. You talk about stuck, one of the worst I did was years ago we had just bought a farm and I was pushing trees and cleaning up the farm with a D7 Cat. I buried it, you could step off the platform on to...
