New (to me) BX and to the forum

If the snow is slippery which it usually is that ( I assume) would be OK. When they say paved they mean no slipping , that would do damage.

My son bought a used diesel tractor (the 18 wheel type) and started using Diesel Kleen in the fuel. Inside of the 2- 100 gallon tanks was black. He ended chainging fuel filters daily (about 600 or 700 miles). Finally the tanks' insides were bright and shiny as if they were brand new. It is my...

I have been using Diesel Kleen, 3 ounces to 5 gallons of diesel since brand new. It is a little strong (should be about 6 ounces per 20 gallons) raises the cetane a little but runs great and starts easily even when the temperature is in the single digits like just last week. Good luck. Dave

I have been waiting to see your thoughts on the Northern Tool, Paumco Spade Blade that goes on...

I have been waiting to see your thoughts on the Northern Tool, Paumco Spade Blade that goes on to pallet forks. Their add claims that it is many, many times faster than a backhoe bucket. I don't believe that at all. What do you think ??? I like your posts and comments and value your opinion...

    Pallet Fork advice bx 2380

I have quick attach bucket release on my BX23S. The adjustable solid forks are one of the best investments made. Also the under armor plate from BXpanded works great is easy to attach and remove, I have read about the cost of replacing that small fan that can be ruined by sticks when the mower...

24 Ball & Burlap trees to plant (and holes to dig) - best approach?

We just planted 27 Green Arborvitaes that came in 10 gallon pots. I was going to use the backhoe on the BX23S, but my son got started with the Kubota U-17 Mini-X and we were done in about 2 hours. I thought that went real smooth. Good luck with your planting. Dave

Does anyone have a hip replacement?

The physical therapy is the real answer. Don't even try to shorten it or skip. That is the most important part of getting over the operation. You can be better than ever if you follow up the P. T. Dave

How much rear ballast is enough for BX with FEL?

I went to unload a Woodland Mills #46 chipper from the back of a semi trailer with my BX23S with forks on and the backhoe off and a 3PH on and 2 guys had to jump on the rear (about 350 of 370 pounds) to help me do it. Doing almost anything with the FEL if it is more than 250 pounds needs weight...

    Anyone build a 'replica' Cobra?

I was going to build one some 35 years ago but found out that I was too tall 6'2" to fit. Been enjoying my 68 Corvette ever since.

B7800 Wix or Fram filter numbers for oil and hydraulic filters.

I have a Cummings diesel in my motor home, Cummings said the engine is guaranteed for life as long as I keep records of oil changes and filter changes. If I ever i use a Balwin there is no guarantee. Wix is the best filter made. O'reillys are one of the main suppliers. On there web site you can...

    Aging of Sodium Hypochlorite solution

That is the best stuff to open up drain lines. Here it is only sold by plumbing supply houses so not available in the retail market, so very few know about it. If you use about 6 pounds a year it will keep your septic tank and rain lines in good shape longer. Dave
