    OOPS................

Done it a few times. Takes practice to master getting stuck. You'll get there, just keep at it. If you need hints, ask.

    Home Fire Alarm

All done. Tested, works as expected, outside alarm and strobe too. Put in Lithium batteries to get 10+ years between changes. Cheaper than Alkaline cost with annual changes and with my 14'+ ceiling height, less stressful. Had them in the house for five years, every year, I take one out and...

    Home Fire Alarm

I spoke with Kidde. 9V battery, Plus to the Red/Interconnect and Negative to the White Neutral will simulate an alarm condition., In addition the 120VAC must be connected so due caution.

    frozen backhoe pins

WD40 is the wrong stuff. Kroll, PB Blaster or parafin with diesel. Soak, tap. Patience. When mine are stuck, I try to twist and at the same time work the bucket up and down to find the 'sweet spot'.

    Home Fire Alarm

Kidde suggests using a hair dryer. I have a heavy duty one (not a heat gut which would melt the detector)The detectors are differential. I just wanted to test PRIOR to mounting all the detectors

    Home Fire Alarm

I'm putting in heat (not smoke) detectors in my outbuilding. I have an external strobe/siren wired in. I think I have is right but I want to test. As I understand it, taking a 9V battery, the positive to the red (of the hardwire three wire) and the battery negative to the black, wired to 120V...

Why am I seeing weird Asian appearing text?

One of the sites I moderate, ten a day, each making 20 posts before I can spam ban them. Ugh. Waves. A few weeks then they go away and then a few months later, they return. Last summer it was airline booking right now, Temu. Almost all from Reliance Industrial Park in Mumbai.

    LX2610 50hr shop vac question

Nope, I just had the spot on the property. I was comfortable driving up it because it was a sharp angle from the flat (think like a hinge). Approaching the hill and slowly having the front come up was not nerve wracking. A rolling rise probably would not be as safe I suppose you could look at...

    LX2610 50hr shop vac question

I'd not use the loader unless you could jam/lock it in place. Jack stands no where tall enough., I think my tractor was close to 45 degrees. Rear wheels on the flat, bottom and the front, way up. The BH swing pivot was in the dirt. I'd not want to of tried to drive up further! I'd guess the...

Replace drain plug washers-my manual doesn't mention it

My little guy has metal washers with an integral oring. Tighten to snug, never replace unless the oring is damaged, which near impossible to do. Very tidy method.

    Equipment Auctions ?

I'll have an auction of my crap when I move to the old folks home. I'll get $0.10 on the dollar for actual worth, the auction house $1.10 on the value of every dollar. and the buyer paying $1.30 for every dollar of value. Crazy math, right? I don't care, I'm not going to spend a year whittling...

Should moderators be elected by membership?

I am an admin on a few sites, a moderator on others. Site owners and other moderators are the ones to select a new moderator. Usually based on level of activity and calm demeanor. A 'calm demeanor' does not mean ignoring those that refuse to follow the rules and the spirit of the site. Being an...

BXExpanded BH Dolly for BX25D Tractor

I do have a hoist on a trolley in my outbuilding! Never thought of that. Simply to lift and glide to the back of the tractor and set in place. Some serious thought on this idea. Thanks! One trick will be to make the ballast protrude as little as possible out the back as I'm trying to keep the...

BXExpanded BH Dolly for BX25D Tractor

Dolly was great for moving it about in my building. Easy to get out of the way and not waste space. I had to re-install the BH for the first time since putting it on the dolly. Trepidation. Followed the instructions (IDIOT!!!!) Two minute frustration free job! Wow! Certainly more difficult to...
