Does anyone know what a BX23S rear wheel and tire weigh?

The right rear wheel/tire R4 combo on my BX25D is listed at 40lbs via Messicks but the left rear wheel/tire combo is listed at 45lbs...

    Daily Chuckle

I'm an equal-opportunity meat eater, and if dog and cat are that tasty, then I'm game. Bob Barker told me to help control the pet population for years, and I often see these commercials for the sad animals that nobody wants with Sarah McLachlan singing in the background. I'm doing my part to...

Another tractor accident… and a question

Something else to consider- Rebar is typically 20' long and bendy. Assuming the guy was competent, he probably had the bucket low to drop the load if things got loose. A simple small bounce of the tractor/loader could've bounced the rebar enough that one side dug in and started twisting the...

    Are y'all enjoying

I don't know about the northeast, but the heat that's passed through NC on the way north has been a nice low-humidity heat compared to the crap we often get. I'll take 96 degrees and 40% humidity any day over the usual 90 degrees and 70% humidity that we'll have in the next month or two.

    No work!

I don't like the heat and apparently the BX found it a bit warm too. Usually I'm 2 bars on the temp gauge and with heavier work I might hit 3 bars. Yesterday she was running at 4 bars through all of the mowing. With the loader and hoe back on, just cruising around in the shade by the springs...

    How did he get injured?

Being in the same market as you- the repeated simple spelling errors in headlines on all three local channels are unforgivable. My elementary school child should not be a better speller than the "professionals", and I have to assume those "professionals" have access to spell-check which makes...

I know I should have written it down

This was in NC, but I'd checked prices online to see how bad I'd get screwed by stopping in to the local dealer and the local price was the same as Messicks. Whatever happened to the price system wasn't just local, but the price is now the same $62 you paid, so I just got lucky. Wish I'd known...

I know I should have written it down

I'll grab the box to check the part numbers. Maybe I just lucked out with a screw-up from Kubota USA pricing! Edit: Price after tax was $24.04 on 3/14/25.

I know I should have written it down

Local dealership here in NC earlier this year. Messicks had the same price at the time. The parts guy thought the same thing and even dug into their price sheets to verify it wasn't a mistake. I think they were $22 after tax.

I know I should have written it down

With a 3-pack of Kubota blades only running $20 or so from the dealership, I'm not even sure it's worth my time to sharpen the old ones.

Agreed. I had them on my L and don't have them yet for my BX and I miss the heck out of them. I'm cheap though and I'm just waiting on a good deal to pop up on a used set.

    Credit Card Fraud - Again

Around here, there's been an increase in thefts from locals taking a picture/video of your card when they're swiping it for you. Takes zero time to have your number, exp. date and security code and they can just plug them in to any website and buy stuff. Being a local purchase, credit card...

    Daily Chuckle

Very common around here, and I think you're right about the playground link. Kids stopped getting beat up on the playgrounds and having their precious feelings hurt, and this is the result.

Shop around more for interest rates, or potentially another bank. My credit union is around 4% for an auto loan in the 3-5 year range which is much lower than HELOC rates I'm seeing. Going forward, does it make sense to apply some Fluid Film or Woolwax under your vehicles to prolong their...

Toyota also used Yamaha a lot in the development and improvement of their engines in the 80s-90s (specifically the DOHC heads, etc). I know my old 3SGE in my '91 MR2 was developed with Yamaha, as as the 5MGE in my '85 Supra. While I believe Toyota still produced the engines, Yamaha seemed to...
