    Hydraulic valve.

Kubota uses "Open Center Valves with Power Beyond" It has to be with Power beyond. After the 3 point hitch, the oil just dumps back into the "tank" (the middle section of the tractor).

    Stabilizer on my L4802

After re-reading your question (and reply to the above statement about "getting the slack out"). Are you asking about the use of slotted hole ("third hole")? I personally, don't like the rear finishing mower to be hooked up so tight to the tractor. I want it to sway a little bit since I do...

    Stabilizer on my L4802

This might not be the case but the very first hole on the stabilizer looks to have some crap / dirt / twigs in there (and mud covering the outside of it). I would unbolt it and pull it apart to clean it up, then try lubing it a little. For the most part, my left and right pin holes are rarely...

How do you Keep track of maintenance and repairs.

I just try to remember when I did things.... I have a mind like a steel trap.... Unfortunately, it's rusted shut at the moment.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Sort of, what most likely happen was that weather warmed up enough to break winter dormancy (got water flowing into the plant when warm) then it got down below freezing and the water in the plant cells froze and broke the cells. Plants can handle deep cold if it's dormant... but it's when it...

    New Cars/Trucks

Best deal I've gotten from a dealer was the $17k on a Nissan Versa (2009) for $10k out the door... granted it was greatly help by $4,500 from "Cash for Clunkers" and Nissan's $1,750 rebate - I wanted to be the first guy at the dealership at 9 am Monday morning to "DO" the cash for clunkers...

    problem with l2800

Open the radiator cap, when cold, any oil floating on top? Does the engine oil look normal? (Black?) If it goes to the dealer, please report back as to what it turns out to be....

    Water in Trans Oil

Garage kept or has it been outside where rain can get to it? Gear drive, check the boot where the shifter goes into the top of the transmission.

    New Cars/Trucks

By the time I'm done with a vehicle, the junk yard is about the only place that will take it!!! My 2009 Toyota Tacoma, 185k and still planning to be the last vehicle that I bought.... never a problem (I'm sure it will die this week!!) Before that, was a 17 year old ('92 ?) Mercury Villager...

Dipping toes in the world of Welding

I started with an old Craftsman's welder, I think, AC only, if you can weld with that, everything else is easy!!! It saved my numerous Craig's list purchases (everything needed at least some welding to make them work). I bought some flux core machines and got good at that... my only problem...

Photo shoot anything lately? Random Photo Thread

Had a '78, I should have learned to weld earlier in life... I would still be welding on my Scout!

    bogging down

So, is this always done this or is the lost of power something new that's happening?? When you let off the pedal, does the tractor "recover"?

    bogging down

Lots of questions... What range and how high is the grass. How steep of a hill? Hate to ask but did you leave the parking brake partially locked down? (just things to check, I've done that even today!) Would love to hear more about "....the hydrostatic has been rebuilt." How many hour...

    Kubota L2800 Issue

So is this is a Manual / Gear transmission??? Check PTO switch (he might have played with it or bumped it) make sure it fully set back to off. Check the rest of the Safety switches, too.... Also, Kubota made the L2800 up until 2010 so the "youngest" your tractor could be is 15 years old 😉

    Steel T-Posts

I would not use "T" posts for a gate... (I like wood) no matter how light your gate is it will sag or in this case, stretching the fencing might lift it up. You need to be able to transfer force to the other side of the gate. Archways are not just for looks. They have a structural component...

What is involved in installing a rear hydraulic to L2501f that came w/o hydraulics?

Yes, it's not bad... main thing is that your tractor bypasses the "outlet block"... It's just a "cover plate" (first diagram #020)... just a channel to pass the hydraulic fluid from the High Pressure out side (Blue line) to the high pressure return side (called "Power Beyond", Yellow line)...
