The 2501, 3301 and 3901 are all on the same chassis. If you need the max PTO get the 3901. I don't know what post hole auger needs as far as PTO. Probably want to stay with turf tires running around on people's lawns. I'm assuming you aren't buying this tractor to be used for your future...

Added 2 oz of JD hydraulic oil dye (red) to my new MX5400 hydraulic fluid reservoir.

I went back to the tractor and tried turning the lever and nothing. Also tried using pliers to turn the stem of the lever and nothing. Has anyone actually used their lever?

Get the R1's asap. I'm convinced most people get R4's because they look cool. Unless you have pristeen lawn you don't want to mark up no need to get R4's.

I also need to figure out why there are 5 wires.

There are 4 wires from the top row and 1 wire coming out of the bottom row for a total of 5 wires. I did find an 8 pin connector. 8 Way/ Pin sealed waterproof connector

Found this empty connection. There is a reference in the owners manual to a work light but its for the Cab model. I do have a work light in the fuse panel that is wired.

I guess I'm a moron because don't know what I'm looking at. Where would the lamp connector be and what is a bullet end? According to the manual there is a work light fuse. I'm assuming that one goes to an empty pigtail?

Since I don't need the rear turn signals I'm wondering if I could run the wiring from the rear turn lights to the ROP lights and use the turn signal indicator switch (or hazard button) to run them? I was thinking about removing the rear turn signal light and replacing those with two spot lights...

There's a lever below the seat that doesn't appear to do anything.
