L2501 losing Hydraulic pressure when not running

Early on (when new) I left my FEL at maximum high and it leaked down about 3 feet or so over night. From then on I always relieve all hyd pressure when I leave the tractor. rr

    Dark oil

An old friend of mine, whom survived being a tail gunner in WWII, was an old time diesel mechanic one told me that diesels make oil, thus turning crank case oil black real quick. That was probably true for older diesels before regins, dps and all that crap. rr

    Does Pump Diesel Contain Additives?

I have a 55 gallon drum with a hand pump that I fill once or twice a year. I only add water displacement stuff in the drum. No problems so far with 450 hrs on my L3301 and never have to empty the water separator. rr

    Large Garden Tips needed

Several ways to do what you want to do. On new ground, I always like the turning plow first then disk or till, I have even used old bed springs to level and bust clods. Best thing I ever had though was my Cub Farmall and all the attachments /plows for gardening. rr

    Newbie fuel level question

Don't ever get below 1/4 or so with my 3301 so I have never ran out of fuel. Not sure if I would have to go through a bleeding process or not, but I will say that when changing filters I never have to bleed the system. It just takes a few more rounds to start. rr

24 Ball & Burlap trees to plant (and holes to dig) - best approach?

My vote is for renting the mini X. When I was renting hay fields the owner wanted the fence rows cleaned up. Told her it was too time consuming for me so she hired a couple lads. They showed up wearing flip flops and short pants. They stayed maybe an hour. LOL rr
